lol no of course not that's ridiculous. So if a state says that it's illegal for the president to sign an executive order. Until that gets adjudicated in court, the president is forced not to sign an EO in order to follow the law. Right?

That's not true there were at least 7 people on that call who told him he was right. Either you didn't read it or you're just making **** up lol

    LoL

    Sure.

Trump will have the opportunity to explain to the jurors why he demanded that Raffensperger 'find' the exact number of votes he needed to win Georgia.

By the way, just after his arrest in this case, wasn't Trump supposed to demonstrate before the world the evidence of fraud of which he was a victim?

Donald Trump calls off press conference where he said he would share report on Georgia election fraud claims

Did you read your story? His lawyers preferred to put it in their legal filings.

    LOL

His excellent lawyers have proof that Trump won in Georgia and they waited until he was criminally charged 4 years later to put it in his case.

They are saying he has immunity for criminal acts committed while performing duties as president. Including those duties which are on the outside boundaries of the president. Just like EVERY other president has had.

lol, so like trying to steal an election - no other President has asked for immunity for these crimes.... ever

Nixon had to resign to get his VP to pardon him

As you would hear on the recording, the judge brought Nixon up. Which the lawyer point out was purely private conduct which would not be covered and the judge did not dispute.

And you call it stealing the election but he was following the ECA. I know yall don't like that, but I promise you the SCOTUS isn't going to ignore it. Furthermore he has EVERY right to question the results of the election in any way he so chooses. As president it is his OBLIGATION to ensure free and fair elections and that no fraud occurred.

It wasn't stealing an election lol. It was attempting to make sure all the votes were counted which is wholly within his duty as president

nope, it was trying to steal an election

no one is taking trump to court for legally disputing the results in court, which is still not a presidential duty

That's simply not accurate and the Appeals court did not even suggest that. In fact they suggested the opposite. That what he did WAS within the outer boundaries of presidential duties. The DC Appeals court is not refuting that fact. They are asserting simply that presidents don't have immunity for crimes committed while in office

Which simply cannot be allowed to stand

It's gonna be real hard for some rightists when SCOTUS rules that their mango hero can't declare himself King and piss on the laws of the land simply cause he wants to.

Trump should have resigned and had his VP pardon him and never ran again if he wanted immunity from his crimes

The SCOTUS move is all about eating time off the clock. It might also be about testing the water as to whether or not SCOTUS will play ball with him. Either way, if they take it up, added time will be a ticking.

No? I personally think it's a great way for us to deal with our political opponents in the future. So have at it lol

I'm all for weaponizing the justice system against the president of the opposing party. Just don't cry about it when it's our turn lol

lol we don't need to? We just pass state laws that make it a criminal offense for the POTUS to engage in policy our states don't like. Then the states threaten him with life in prison with an innominate jury in a deep red district when he leaves office if he doesn't do what they say.

We don't even need to win the presidency again. We just throw a couple dem president's asses in prison for life when they leave office and the rest of the dem presidents will fall in line

No other President has ever enjoyed such immunity.

Trump is the first one to betray his oath of office in this way. Which is why his attorneys are trying to get the SC to endorse his claims that fomenting an insurrection based on false claims of election fraud is part of his “presidentail duties”.

Yes they have. Every single one of them did.

Thats why Obama couldn't be charged with murder for assassinating an American citizen without due process

What are you even talking about?
