1+1=2 if providers are forced to publish prices for MRI's for example customers can shop for best price and quality. I had a friend who went to PA from Maine to pay $400 for a MRI that was $1400 in Maine. Do you get it now?
paying off insurance companies is crony capitalism at its worst and liberals hate it above all so now love Trump I assume!!!
does the article say the socialism works better than capitalism, Cuba is really doing better than Florida so we should move toward a Cuban health care system and economy????
we should have govt make payments for all the stuff we purchase so we can buy more stuff!! What a grand idea!!!!
Ever heard of east/west Germany, Cuba/Florida, Communist China/Capitalist China. China just switched to capitalism and eliminated 40% of the entire planets poverty. Now people can buy health care in China. Do you understand these kindergarten basics?
Pete; insurance is useless to those who cannot afford it; furthermore while it's great that you can treat yourself with extremely lost cost alternative treatments and that you practice a healthy and safe lifestyle but not everyone is as lucky as you are. Moreover god forbid you are in an auto accident or found out you were diagnosed with cancer to the point where your health is dramatically affected long term; ln one illness alone, you could see all your savings evaporate before your very eyes and left penniless. Even though your chances of getting sick were minimal, that all just went out the window. Now, without money or insurance what do you do? You say Trump's plan is long term strategy, that's great unless you happen to be one of the people who cannot afford insurance and you end up dying because of it? Isn't capitalism just grand?
we must always logically conclude that liberalism is based in ignorance, sadly Government funds nearly two-thirds of U.S. health care costs ... www.pnhp.org/.../government-funds-nearly-two-thirds-of-us-health-care-costs-americ... Jan 21, 2016 - Direct government payments for such programs as Medicare, Medicaid and the Veterans Administration accounted for 47.8 percent of overall health spending. ... “We pay the world's highest health care taxes. But patients are still saddled with unaffordable premiums and deductibles,” said Dr. Steffie Woolhandler.
if we had capitalist health care prices would be 20% of current prices( no more $20 aspirins and MD's making $600,000) and everyone could afford health care. if not loans or govt subsidy could easily help out. Do you understand now?
The payments have never stopped. That's why this announcement is news. The decision in May 2016 stayed the injunction pending appeal, so the payments continued. And last February the House and Trump asked the appeals court to hold the case in abeyance. And so the legal action has stalled and Trump has continued making the payments. Trump's decision to deliberately jack up premiums now is pretty late in the game.
What I understand is that there are no guarantees to your claims; you claim certain things but yet have no proof that its what will be achieved.
This has already been priced into premiums for 2018 so they're about to go up quite a bit regardless of what Congress does. You can thank Trump for that.
great!! so when any prices go up we blame Trump because he doesn't pay off industry in crony capitalist relationships that liberals hate???
yes the disastercare based on crony capitalism that liberal's claimed to hate. What about subsidies to all industries!! How cool that liberals are so in bed with insurance companies!!
Blame whomever you want; the bottom line is there are no guarantee's nor can you prove what your saying.
Nice try but your page doesn't exist. But we are not surprised that Conservatives rely on imaginary information. Care to try again to look a little less foolish.
Yes. Here is, contrary to your uneducated opinion, how the German system actually works. http://international.commonwealthfund.org/countries/germany/ And it is a far cry from free market capitalism and it isn't even close to costing 20% of the American system.
