hindsight is 2020, yes, they should of had more security, if only they had known how violent these Trump supporters were

doesn't excuse the actions of Trump and his gang or the 1-6ers

because they were being moved to safety and were under attack by Trump supporters?

Trump was watching it on TV, he should have responded.. they were living it

They DID know. He called them three times to request assistance on Jan 6 with zero response.

Trump should have done something, instead of just watching it on tv

even his own children were telling him to do something

So if trump should have done something AND EVENTUALLY DID …

Then by definition Nancy Pelosi and her HSAA should have done something when requested THREE TIMES by Sund to help AND NEVER DID.

    Right?

And if trump eventually did do something while Pelosi and her HSAA did NOTHING… it seems this should be about Pelosi and not trump.

If this is about capitol security as we are being told and not just a hit piece commission against trump (like we all know it to be) then we would be asking why the HSAA and Pelosi did nothing when requested for help three times on Jan 6

But we all know this commission is nothing more than a hit piece on trump and a way for the democrats to attempt to justify seeking an end to the electoral college.

What do you think your story said?

Here I’ll quote it for you

On the evening of January 5—the night before a white supremacist mob stormed Capitol Hill in a siege that would leave five dead—the acting secretary of defense, Christopher Miller, was at the White House with his chief of staff, Kash Patel. They were meeting with President Trump on “an Iran issue,” Miller told me. But then the conversation switched gears. The president, Miller recalled, asked how many troops the Pentagon planned to turn out the following day. “We’re like, ‘We’re going to provide any National Guard support that the District requests,’” Miller responded. “And [Trump] goes, ‘You’re going to need 10,000 people.’ No, I’m not talking bullshit. He said that. And we’re like, ‘Maybe. But you know, someone’s going to have to ask for it.’” At that point Miller remembered the president telling him, “‘You do what you need to do. You do what you need to do.’ He said, ‘You’re going to need 10,000.’ That’s what he said. Swear to God.”

Elected officials have a sworn obligation to protect and uphold the laws. They knew this protest was scheduled several weeks in advance. We all know how the Democrats kept accusing Trump supporters as being dangerous people. So when they knew they were going to the capital to protest why did they not set up barricades around the capital beef up security? We won't know about the security failures this year but another investigation will take place next year when Republicans take congress.

    Exactly....! Good reading dear....!

Jan 5, not Jan 2 as this thread claims...! And no mention of T**** making any offer to Pelosi...as this thread also falsely claims...!

Thank you so much dear, for highlighting my argument....!

    Oh look, the truth.

I believe the mods need to merge the other thread this OP created with this one and move it to humor since they are a laugh.

    Security isn't the issue here.

    Cool red herring though.

Again, name the crime. What crime was committed? And by whom? I saw many trespassing charges. I see a lot of democrats in office screaming hyperbole, and what? Where are these indictments? And given the massive failure of ms Pelosi who actively refused to engage the national guard that was there at her disposal, perhaps the real culprits are folks, like Pelosi, who so utterly failed in the obligations of her offices. The only joke here is the hysteria and the outrage still being exhibited by the left who so miserably failed in their little Krystalnacht attempt.

How there’s not an inquest into why the House Sergeant at Arms refused to respond to THREE separate requests for assistance on Jan 6 and under whose orders he refused to respond should tell everyone this is a complete fraud.

    A complete and utter sham.

Amazing. Apparently the need for stopping the session and evacuation didn't happen. Nor the hundreds of hospitalizations of security police. And of course no vandalism.
Silly me, I thought video evidence of such was real, must have been made in Hollywood.

Of course security is the issue. Dozens of cops and secret service agents were injured in order to keep a left wing mob from penetrating the White House. But they kept that insurrection out of that branches main building. Why did the legislative branch not have the same security when it was offered to them?

Do you realize how silly you look when you say things like "republicans tried to topple democracy". I mean, trying to suggest a few hundred people "tried" to topple government is silly, but then to suggest "republicans" tried... that's just stupid. It makes you look foolish.
