Trump has not been owner of "the economy" all his life, or ever. And his expertise as a business owner in any way that would relate to most business owners is questionable. Almost anyone who tried running their small or medium business (or even a large business) with Trump's level of irresponsible leverage would be bankrupt in a heartbeat, and they wouldn't have Trump's bailout options when they did so.

Who claimed Trump owned the economy ???

The above misrepresentation is equivalent to the title of the thread. Both are untruthful.

Well no. The title of the thread is what it is: "Trump Retweets '#FireFauci'. It is simply an attribute of a forum thread. Just as your post in the thread is an attribute of the thread. You may believe that the information presented in the thread is fake news but the title is the title.

What's untruthful about Trump retweeting a post with "fireFauci"?

    I'll post it again.

"... has been and remains a trusted advisor ..." pretty much the tombstone on every fired Trump staff member to date.

Retweeting a post with #FireFauci is not undermining him?

This isn't about whether Fauci was right or wrong. It is about Trump retweeting a post with #FireFauci in it.

He either has confidence in Fauci or he doesn't. If he does, he shouldn't be retweeting #FireFauci. If he doesn't, he should fire him.

*A* business is a fraction of the economy, and the interests of that business are often not the interests of the economy as a whole. Even experience in a vertical like real estate (or, in Trump's case, real estate promotion along with a couple of fraudulent business efforts) doesn't prepare you for studying macroeconomics. Hence why the study of business is not the study of economics. An MBA is not remotely interchangeable with a Masters in Economics, and I say that as someone about to graduate with an MBA. Also, Trump regularly fails Econ 101. He still doesn't understand what a trade deficit even is. He's still trying to get us to go back to pre-capitalist mercantilism . . . the philosophy that Economics in general, and capitalism specifically, LITERALLY AROSE AS A DISCIPLINE FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFEATING.

Well that proves everything Because we've never heard that before Trump fired someone . . . except for almost everyone else he's ever fired :roflol:

Business IS the economy on the microeconomics side it is what help drives it and we are faced with two issues here, the health issue and the economic issues. And save your normal and boring insults of Trump for someone else they impress me none.

Maybe some people care more about facts than impressing you. You should probably focus more on reality than the things that make you feel good about yourself. Being a business fraud who manages to be successful after being saved from your failures by bailouts and being carried by a reality TV show pivot =/= being an economics expert, especially since, again, he fails to understand basic economic concepts like comparative advantage and what a trade deficit even means. These concepts literally go back to the founding of the discipline. Trump can't understand it, so he wants to abandon the basic of economics and capitalism to take us back to pre-1776 fallacies that no economist treats seriously anymore. But some people will always prefer Trump's feeeeeelz over economic facts.

There's a reason we had over 1,000 economists, including Nobel laureates, petitioning him to stop his economic idiocy. But there I go again with my silly facts.

Or, you know, reality for those of us who have paid attention to the FACT that the WH has said similar things about people they've let go. But reality offends, so it must be buried. We know the drill.
