Maybe New Yorkers just love a man who kills old people faster rather than trying to protect them. IDK, I'll never figure out those New York people.

Very efficient though, to knock off as many old people in the first wave so that maybe the second wave won't be so bad. He started a herd immunity plan using the nursing homes as a test run. Who else would have come up with such a strategy?

    I understand your confusion.

Especially since half the people who voted against Cuomo approve his handling of the pandemic.

    Leadership can't be learned.

But you know, whether Cuomo is loved or not doesn't really matter.

You should be trying to figure out why Trump is throwing away all his chances for re-election.

We learned long ago not to trust Presidents' words. Trump has done nothing to change that.

The CDC/FDA are run by Trump appointees. Where does the buck stop?

CDC/FDA rules and regulations developed to the point of slow-moving bureaucratic behemoth over decades. It's usually Democrats who want over-regulation and Repbulicans wanted deregulation and free markets.

The buck stopped with Trump. He and his appointees were able to cut through years of needless red tape. Hard to imagine how much farther behind the curve than we are today if an establishment bureaucrat had been elected. We'd be hearing excuses like "We have to wait for the CDC/FDA to clear safety and efficacy. We have rules and procedures. Nothing we can do. Sorry. Just be patient."

You see how long Pelosi and Congress have delayed getting aid out to people and businesses. Congress is still a major lag. Big government stinks.

So now the left's desperation has gone so far, they're bringing up Bush during Katrina? Please stop, you're embarrassing yourself. I went through Katrina and the people that stayed and died was their own fault. At some point, we have to accept the fact that there are some things and some people we cannot control. We cannot control a global pandemic. We cannot suddenly make it so that we are the only nation in the world not affected by a virus, and we cannot force people to leave for a hurricane.

However, with that said, I do see where you're now drooling hoping it wins you an election so you'll play it for all it's worth. And that's obvious to everyone.

Like I said, the only thing the US has prevailed in is covid-19 deaths?!!
All most 87,000 deaths in the US as of today!

Did you expect the US to be the only country in the world not affected by a pandemic?

    Because...

The virus spreads by asymptomatic persons. If we had tested everyone at the outset, we'd know who they were and the virus would have been stopped in it's tracks.

Yes, I know it would be difficult, but we could have done a lot better, a lot better. But, since the prez has your attitude, we are lagging way behind.
