Well yea they do look for crimes and have an enforcement division. His attorney's state for the record they were, they could be disbarred if they were lying and I don't think they are going to fall on their swords for Trump. What is it you want to find in them and be specific.
Only for those related to their money. As I said: only thing the IRS wants is their money. Why wouldn't they? They are likely being paid enough to retire. And they can always rely on a job at Fox or at one of the right-wing pseudo universities teaching kids how to cheat. We need to follow the money. Easy as that.

His tax return is about HIS MONEY specifically HIS EARNINGS and nothing more. And yes they audit and investigate and prosecute tax fraud. What crime are you claiming is to be found in his tax return that the IRS would go OH WELL.
Somebody supposedly did something sorta like this some time in the past so this is OK It was a childishly stupid argument the first time you used it...it's no better now. What is Trump hiding?
Never mentioned anything about annual audits. These people were crowing about his tax returns the moment he went into the presidency. In 2016 by April he would have filed tax returns for 2015. He was being audited.
And tax fraud is not my interest. Where the money comes from is. Why would they go "oh well"? IRS couldn't care less if Trump sold a $2 M home for $200 M to some shady Russians who happen to be Putin's business partners, so long as taxes are in order. Just an example.
Okay pardon me, I didn't realize you were talking about that, and it has nothing to do with the discussion on having. I apologize for my confusion.
What I posted is happening today, most members of Congress do not release their tax returns, what are they all hiding. Do do you know how childishly stupid to use your argument over and over, that he won't release them therefore he is hiding something.
You already have that in his financial disclosure forms he files every year. Sure they can if it affected the taxes on the sale they can investigate it just like the DOJ would and that would be in his financial disclosure forms.
Nope. Financial disclosures are not audited, and don't provide the level of detail required to show that he is not manipulating the information. https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/18/politics/what-trump-financial-disclosures-do-dont-reveal/index.html Hah! Funny.... Mnuchin won't even provide Congress with the tax returns, as the law requires him to do. It's naive to believe that he would allow them to investigate the details.
Yep he files them every year. They provide more detail and the IRS has full access to them for use in their audits. And they are certified by the CPA firm compiling them. What you are looking for is already in those disclosures submitted under threat of perjury. Only required for a legitimate LEGISLATIVE purpose. Note how the Democrats dropped it.
It's amazing the mental gymnastics these dems are doing when their talking points continue to blow up in smoke....the misinformation campaign is strong.
You seem to be under the false impression that the IRS does not uncover crimes. What is it that you think congress will find in his tax returns other than some stuff they can yell to the public about that they can convince the public that it is bad stuff even though it won't be.
Putting aside your childishly pathetic effort to mis-characterize the Dems, this is about the constitutional right of oversight by Congress of the executive and the black letter law requiring that the tax returns be turned over.
You do realize, that 'childishly stupid argument', applies to 'What is Trump hiding?' What is in his tax returns is on a 'need to know' basis, and 'you' don't need to know. There isn't a line on his return that says 'bribes and extorsion', that would be on his PFS. Let us all know when you get a look-see at that, eh.
Trump has bragged and bragged and bragged about his net worth and banking with the Russians, Towers in Istanbul.... how he's the king of debt and doesn't pay taxes because he's smart. What do you expect?
Congress has no constitutional right of oversight of "the executive." They have oversight responsibilities over the executive branch provided it relates to legislation.
