Trump to 'Dismantle Deep State' with 'Truth and Reconciliation Commission'

In a bizarre video, with Trump looking frail and elderly, slathered in dark makeup except for what appear to be racoon patterning around the eyes, reading from a teleprompter, Trump makes bizarre, dystopian comments about his desired authoritarian leadership.

Apparently he wants to do something with FISA courts as he claims they are very, very corrupt. He wants the power to unilaterally fire federal employees deemed part of the deep state conspiracy, and most frightening, he wants a truth and reconciliation commission.

Very odd as Trump and truth are utterly mutually exclusive.

All of this seems to be very self serving, a need to have his failures and lies officially deemed successes and truths.

Former President Donald Trump is planning to form a "truth and reconciliation commission" as part of an effort to fight the "deep state."

Trump announced a "10-point plan to dismantle the deep state" in a video shared to the Trump War Room Twitter account on Tuesday. The former president said the plan would "reclaim our democracy from Washington once and for all" by eliminating the deep state —a supposed network of shadowy and powerful figures secretly controlling the government and a frequent feature of right-wing conspiracy theories.

Although Trump repeatedly mentioned the deep state during his time in the White House, the former president said in a video earlier this year that he "wasn't a believer" in the theory until recently. The establishment of a commission to expose the supposed network was just one element of the plan announced by his 2024 campaign on Tuesday. Here are all 10 points of the plan:

"We will establish a truth and reconciliation commission to declassify and publish all documents on deep state spying, censorship and corruption," said Trump. "And there are plenty of them."

It sounds, to me, that Trump has become more unhinged. Honestly, I wonder at what point does someone need to hold an intervention.
I'm sure it's hard to tell a 70 something old wealthy person that they are losing their mind, but, Trump has lost his mind. Seriously.

thait is not the case, Even your own link from the OIC does not make that claim. there were 4 FISA cases, two of which the OIG found no significant fault, and two of which it did. The key wa the two that had the Steele Dossier that said that not everythin the dossier could be verified. And unverified data on a search warrant is a no no. It was opinion, a professional opinion by the FBI agent who wrote the FISA.

And yet, even when GOP was in power from 2017 to 2019, the FISA process was continued to be used by the FBI if national security matters. What eventually happened was that greater rules and regulations were set in place to make sure only verified information was presented to the FISA court.

The link you provided only dealt with Operation Crossfire Hurricane only. For Trump's tax return, the Joint Committee on Taxation has that full report with some $300 million in questionable deductions. If truth were to come out on these, then that means Trump will show all the supporting documentation that they were actual legitimate business expenses with Tax Attorneys and CPAs from the Joint Committee on Taxation making sure they are all kosher and not fake. Alfa Bank is a conspiracy theory. Mueller Special Counsel was even something the GOP wanted and it was Trump's DOJ that appointed the Special Counsel, ie his own AG Sessions.
