Trump tweets image of grieving military family in message to NFL kneelers

Trump's not letting up on these punk ass NFL kneelers and I love it. Shame these fools into submission if that's what it takes. I sent an email to the Seahawks who are out of it now and told them to get off their ****ing knees and start planning football. No reply as of yet. LOL

"President Trump retweeted an image Thursday appearing to show a grieving military family, in an apparent message to NFL players who “still kneel.”
The president has been relatively quiet on the issue in recent weeks, after an extended feud with the NFL and players who kneel during the National Anthem. Trump’s Thursday tweet brought the feud into the new year.

"The president shared a tweet from an account, @CoreyLMJones, who posted a photo seeming to show a woman grieving by a military grave. She is shown on top of a blanket, which appears to have photos of her and her loved one stitched across it. The photo shows bold text that reads: “THIS IS WHY WE STAND.”

The president shared the post on his account, tweeting: “So beautiful…Show this picture to the NFL players who still kneel!”

This grieving military family is a result of military expansion, so Trump is putting his own fault on display. It’s quite distasteful to use death as a ploy for political talking points, but Republicans have done it before, they’ll do it again.

I say what I’ve said since day one of this pitiful outrage from the right. You have a remote, you can mute or flip the channel for those two minutes. Simple request.

They are not 'punk NFL kneelers.' They are Americans who are protesting. Non-violent, silent protesting. Protesting is a fundamental and valuable right for all Americans. It is one of the things our military fights for and something we should all hold sacred. Those who vilify peaceful protesters are quintessentially UNAMERICAN.

 

Or you can do what many of us vets have done - never watch another game and don't buy advertised products.

I have been a Patriots fan since 1960 and have watched or gone to every game I could - the surprising thing to me is that I don't miss it at all -

As a consumer, I can support the player by ignoring the fact that he has spit on my flag and I can continue watching his games - or I can protest the desecration of my flag myself by not watching the game and by not buying the advertised products.

My Father was both a Veteran and a Law Enforcement Officer, and he didn't need to hijack a protect movement.

 

I din't give a fly f'ck about NFL Attendance, I'm not invested in the NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL ... hell I can;'t remeber the last time a watched any game of any type from beginning to end. And I sure as hell never see someone singing the Anthem before a game.

I know plenty of vets who continue to watch the game - some of them are also retired cops.
I also know plenty of vets who won't watch another game - some of them are also retired cops.

I have no beef with anyone but the NFL for allowing such perfidy to occur. They produce a product I am no longer interested in wasting my time or resources supporting.
