If he was that bright he'd notice hardly any players are kneeling anymore, or haven't since week 3, but then little details like that have never stopped him from running his mouth. Perhaps he focus less on trying to take another stab at the NFL and focus more on not getting us nuked by North Korea.

No whining and crying. I haven't watched any of these thugs play football for over ten years.

 

Being a vet was totally optional, as well as the repercussions of going into the military such as PTSD or some physical injury that can be as little as a pinched nerve. For the record, I have respect for vets but zero respect for the institution they were physically and verbally abused by. Every US Army or Marines commercial I consider complete BS, and tell younger folk not to fall for it.

More on topic, I am not a football fan but as a American, I stand with the NFL. They are not like Walmart or Jiffy Lube, they are structured differently. Taking a knee is an act of expression, and it’s freedom of expression that makes this country already great (so what is there to make great again?).

 

It is a scientifically proven fact that it is impossible to have any sympathy for service personnel killed in action unless you're standing up.

 

So it is for the America haters kneeling on the sidelines

What are you talking about? Are you one of those people who actively look for bigotry of some kind in those he disagrees with and isn't satisfied until he finds it? Please remember that the word "veteran" encompasses all of the barriers that people like the NFL players have erected to keep themselves separate from people like the veterans.

Like most people, I don't care one whit about anyone outside of my family and my community and all veterans. I have a picture on my desk from 50 years ago in Vietnam - A black man nicknamed "the Raven" took that picture of three white men and two black men who were closer to me than blood could ever be - this during a period when institutionalized discrimination was a fact and black men had a very real justification for feeling the boot on his neck. These guys were my brothers and I would have died for them - in support of them and their causes - I might not have had rhythm, but I did have soul!

I won't compliment these players by calling them men - because a man would understand that Black men also fell to support what that flag means - and these boys have no clue what those proud men are all about.

I will never watch another NFL game as long as one of those snot nosed brats take a knee.

 

That's completely untrue. They are Americans with the same rights as anyone else, which includes the right to peaceful protest. You only call them 'punks' because they are black and because you disagre with the purpose of their protest. That's not very American of you. Our military fights for the preservation and safety of our country, including all of our precious civil rights, which includes the right to peacefull protest, whether or not you agree with the point they are making.

 

And as debate is lost the race card is played. In case you never noticed many of our men and women in military uniforms are also black.

 

I'd say since everyone, Trump in particular, is still on about this, they've already accomplished their job.

 

It's been explained many, many times that the protest was not about the military or the anthem itself at all.

 

When the debate is ABOUT race...it's kinda dumb to claim "they're playing the race card".
