Trump seems to think when you name a charity after yourself the purpose of that charity is to benefit yourself

 

If it's true he should be ashamed. How dare someone fund a charity based on their good family name and get filthy rich off of it! It's almost unheard of these days.

No, the Clintons pay into their charity, and I haven't seen any evidence yet that they are funneling their Foundation's income to themselves. Trump hasn't donated to his Foundation since 2008, but recent stories have been turning up of him funneling money from the organization.

It all depends on how the Articles of Organization for the organization read, and how it's reported.

On the accounting side, what the check says on it's face doesn't mean diddly, it's how it's recorded, and reported on the books.

If it's recorded as Legal Fees or some such, and is treated as an expense deduction for the organization, then it has been handled improperly. If it's recorded as a distribution (or the like) to Trump, then it's legit, because it's treated as income to Trump and he will be taxed on it.

 

It's simply proof he's good at Big Government. Every Prog should applaud a free spender of OPM.
