Pretty unnecessary law. Typical of republicans though, trying to keep women 'in check.'

The pro-life attitude oozes sexist condescension. You see, those poor silly little women can't be expected to understand abortion unless the heavy hand of the state reads them some propaganda and tells them what they're supposed to be thinking.

Say, since fair is fair, do I get to force pro-lifers to listen to some reason next time they're at the doctor? (I know how much they hate that.) After all, they seem to think forced re-education is the greatest thing ever when their side does it, so shouldn't turnabout be fair play?

Well see the problem with that is that the opposite is much more true. The pro abortion posters here have repeatedly indicated that women must have legal abortion as an option because they are incapable of properly managing the risk of their sex lives prior to conception. Pro abortion folks basically have indicated that women are far too stupid to manage the risks of their own sex lives properly.

I still cannot understand why you think education is a negative thing. All they are required to do is realize that the child in utero has a heartbeat, that is all. How is that any type of coercion?

Dont be ridiculous. If thats the reason and motivation for the law, it could be accomplished by that, simple education - doctors could tell it to the women and show them some presentations and records of the fetal heartbeat.

The purpose of this law is to punish women, not educate them.

Who said that? What are you babbling about?

Is making up insane fabrications about what pro-choicers supposedly say and think really the best you can do?

(You don't have to answer that. It was rhetorical. I think we all know it actually _is_ the best you can do.)

And you think that is why we want them to have free choice?
What does coercing do in your view?
