Fox News and Tucker Carlson, the right-wing personality who hosted the network’s highly rated 8pm hour, have severed ties, the network said in a stunning announcement Monday.

The announcement came one week after Fox News settled a monster defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million over the network’s dissemination of election lies.

    What a shocker.
    Did anybody see this coming?
Is Tucker being scapegoated and thrown under the bus?

Wow. Just him though? The Symantec lawsuit is up next.

Didn't expect that this Monday morning. I'm surprised they didn't try and Friday News Dump this...

This doesn’t surprise me. If they fired him during the lawsuit it would have been an acknowledgment of wrong doing.

Right wing primetime host Tucker Carlson is leaving Fox News immediately, the cable network announced Monday.
The announcement came days after Fox News’ parent company settled Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit for $787.5 million.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the company said in a statement on Monday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
There will be no sendoff for Carlson, as his last program aired on Friday.
The company wouldn’t comment beyond the release, and whether Carlson was being taken off air in response to the Dominion defamation case.
Fox class A shares were down nearly 4% on Monday.
    ___________

I wonder where he will end up?
His options (on TV) seem limited...
Unless, he plans on the full-blown Shark Jump to OAN or Newsmax...

They are saying his last show was Friday. They had to explain why he wasn't on the air tonight.

I'll bet Tucker had the largest paycheck. It serves as a warning shot to the rest of them to straighten up or you're next.

Good, I hope this means Jessie Watters gets the prime time spot. I like his light hearted and sarcastic approach way better than Tucker's doom and gloom approach.
there is also a lesson to be learned here
    It's called PRECEDENT
Fredo was held accountable and because of that, they had the pressure on them to act the same regarding Tucker.
You guys will learn a lot more about PRECEDENT when the Biden impeachments happen.

nobody should be surprised tucker is gone

personally, I was surprised he lasted so long

Tucker Carlson is to lying scumbags what Tom Brady was to the NFL

Fox news is like the Patriots, with Carlson as quarterback and hannity and ingram as a reciever and fulllback

Nobody was better at producing lying scumbags better than FOX and nobody was better at producing great athletes than the patriots

    with that said

Tucker is like the pro athletes that had a few good years

most are worth $10 million plus..finacial security is not an issue

carlson will disappear for awhile..but like Brady, he will keep coming back

pro athletes miss performing their skills in front of an audience

Carlson will miss performing his skills as a lying scumbag in front of an audience

being a professional athlete is not easy, and being a professional scumbag aint either!! lol

It could have been his $35 million dollar a year salary.

Well yes, of coarse it is but the settlement is done. It won’t effect an outcome in court

    Why WAIT?
Get rid of the LOT of them...
I wonder WHO (or What) is going to comprise the 8 PM Hour on Faux tonight?
    And, during their time slots:
Will Watters, Hannity, and Ingraham give heartfelt post-mortems?
I wonder if Gutfeld will bring it up...
Or, are they under strict orders to not mention it and "carry on as normal, as if nothing has happened"?

Trump can hire him as a lying/spin adviser.

Uh, oh, what are all the Tucker watchers going to do tonight? They'll have withdrawal symptoms -- until Tucker appears on some other, probably more extreme RW show. Or, he could try to go back to his previous home, CNN, trying to do a 180 and brainwash liberals. Of course, he could also just enjoy his retirement as a trust-fund baby.

In any case, America wins on this day, at least temporarily.
