DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — An Israeli airstrike that demolished Iran’s consulate in Syria on Monday killed two Iranian generals and five officers, according to Iranian officials. The strike appeared to signify an escalation of Israel’s targeting of military officials from Iran, which supports militant groups fighting Israel in Gaza, and along its border with Lebanon.
    ---
Israeli airstrikes are proving the Iranian terrorists can't hide. Seven military officers have now paid the ultimate price for Hamas attacking and killing innocent Israeli civilians.

A foolish move, disregarding all of the diplomatic norms, and making dragging the US deeper into the conflict far more likely. Netanyahu has destroyed any honor Israel had left, and **** all over it's title of being "God's chosen people". Netnayahu is a servant of Satan if ever there was one. He has damned the Jews to a hellish existence once again.

There are no diplomatic norms when terrorists attack you. Keep in mind who started this conflict. Keep in mind the Hamas started this conflict when they flew paragliders over an Israeli concert shooting to death hundreds of innocent Israelis. Yep, they deliberately targeted a large group of civilians. Keep in mind the Hamas started this conflict when they flew 5,000 rockets into Israeli cities killing innocent citizens. Now keep in mind the Israelis are only retaliating. And I hope they keep it up because we need less terrorists in this world.

Good. Conflict with Iran is a foregone conclusion so now that Hamas is almost wiped out it’s time to start making strategic moves against Iran. Deterioration of their assets, especially nice juicy ones like this, is fantastic

If Hamas had military attaches in the building it might be a plausible statement. However this was an Iranian consulate in Syria and although they are both sympathetic to Hamas they are not Hamas. We have military men in our Moscow embassy, we are sympathetic with the Ukraine and provide them aid. Does that give Russia the right to destroy our embassy

You have to admit there is no such thing as civilized war. The history of the world proves it.

Hamas has been shooting rockets into Israel for years... the Iron Dome was there for a reason... What would one think if Mexico kept shooting rockets into the US?

Then Israel should continue to fight Hamas, not Syria or Iran.

Don't forget, this was Israel, not the US hitting the embassy. Israel is our ally and we certainly support them, but whatever blowback comes from this is awarded to Israel, not the US.

As far as Netnayahu goes, he leads Israel, our ally. HAMAS is not our ally, they are our enemy by their declaration, not ours. Palestine is not our ally, they are our enemy by their support of HAMAS.
You would do well to remember who your friends are and who your enemies are.
And whatever else you do, do not drink the HAMAS/Palestinian Kool-Aid.
    It's tainted.

Hamas, Syria, and Iran, all support terrorism against Jews and Christians. Been going on for a thousand years. They will never be at peace until the Muslim mothers stop teaching their children to kill Jews.

I'm thinking Israel had intel about the generals providing support and weapons to the terrorists who are attacking them.

    Try to keep up

Iran supports Hamas to the tune of some $100 million dollars a year.

Don't take me out of context. Iran and Syria are not at war with Israel, attacking their consulate is an act of war.

And we're not at war with Russia, but we help out Ukraine.
Hamas committed an act of war against Israel. Let Hamas suffer the consequences. Too many want to condemn Israel because it's always easier to condemn the good guy.

Perhaps they will change their chant from "Death to Israel" to "Death to Israel!"

I don't view any people on this planet is my enemy. I have as much love for Palestinians as I do for Israelis and as I do for Americans. We are all humans, trying to live our best lives. I will call a person from Palestine friend as readily as one from Israel, Russia, UK, China, etc.. That being said, some organizations and individuals get out of line, making life difficult for the rest of us. Netanyahu is one of those individuals, as are Hamas. I don't drink anyone's Kool-Aid, even America's, from either party.

All that matters is protecting the innocent, regardless of origin. Bombing the consulate in Iran is not moving in that direction. Instead, it has the potential for widening the conflict. So I am firmly against it.

I have no problem with Hamas suffering consequences. I am not condemning Israel for doing so, but Israel is not at war with Syria, or Iran and attacking them is endangering a larger war. A war that might drag many nations into the conflict.

Keep in mind every day since October 7th, where Israel has killed 32,000+ men, women, children, doctors, journalists, and aid workers, and is starving over a million people.

Maybe the bad guys will get the message and leave Israel in peace. But I doubt it.
So why don't Hamas surrender and turn the hostages free to save all these lives?
Keep in mind who started this skirmish!

This strike, and the violations of international law Israel is actively engaging in with their actions in Gaza, are being driven by Netanyahu's self serving desire for perpetual war in order to remain in power.

Thank you for your assessment on Israel's retaliatory actions. Now give us your assessment of the unprovoked Hamas attack on Israeli innocent civilians which killed 1,200 on Oct. 7.
