Of course we're not being told the truth. I think things like this have happened many times before, but this time they've announced it. Why?

Also, on social media, almost every state is reporting similar sightings with some very compelling video to back it up. What is going on and where are these things coming from. The US knows something by now after Friday and Saturday's wreckage but they haven't said yet.

The last three sightings have not been identified as balloons. Only Shumer has said they were balloons.

Because members of a political party with support from their favorite news agency were getting all bent out of shape over the first one spotted by someone other than the military. These balloons can do nothing that can't be done by satellite except drop something. I myself think all sides are just practicing for how to replace their satellite functions in the event of a war that wipes them out. For my part it's better to stop wasting money shooting them down.

You don't believe dropping something is significant? The latest one was at 20,000 feet, low enough for a UAV to fly near it at a slow speed and video it. But we keep hearing the excuse that jets fly too fast to get a good picture of the objects. Yes objects because the last three have not been described as balloons.

You're correct, they have no been described as balloons, so not sure why others are saying such.

If satellites can take clear quality pictures of objects on the ground why aren't there pictures of these objects? Or a UAV picture for the one over Lake Huron flying at a low 20,000 feet? I'm beginning to wonder if the last three even existed. What is our government preparing us for? Defcon 2 or 1? What our government is doing must concern both China and Russia. Since Russia learned it was the US that took out a very expensive gas pipeline infrastructure Russia might be preparing to retaliate against the US directly. Unless we get answers from our government conspiracy theories will increase only worrying everyone more.

So - was it right to shoot it down or should it have been ignored because it’s been happening for decades?

We can't possibly know if it was right to shoot it down until we find out what it is.

We certainly shouldn't be using F22's to clean up air junk. It would get real expensive real quick.

Why are you calling it air junk before knowing what they are?

I mean, aren't you wondering if they even existed?

I think we are most likely just shooting down junk floating around.

I keep up with UFO reports on twitter, and you would be amazed how often there are balloons of all different shapes and sizes that get let go and float around, and when you pass them at a high rate of speed, it is hard to make out what they are.

The one that was shot down over lake Huron is the same one that was over Montana according to the government, and the upper level winds were flowing from across Montana to Michigan at the time, so that tells me that whatever it was, was just being pushed along the way by the wind.

No one. Where did i say that someone told me they were balloons?

I'm not going to argue with you over what I said, i said that i think they are balloons, and i will continue to refer to them as balloons until there is evidence to the contrary.

Personally, i think they are just random balloons that are nothing more than air pollution.

What makes you think they are balloons?

because they are floating and following the upper level winds. At least we can be certain that the one they tracked from Montana and shot down over lake Huron was following the upper level winds at the time.

When the military says they had no visible means of propulsion, well there are only two things that fit that description. balloons and UAPs.

If t was a UAP like the ones spotted by the USS Nimitz in 2004, we wouldn't be able to shoot those down.

So no precise description yet the military shot it down regardless? Sorry our government has cameras that can take excellent photos. The military doesn’t need to expose their best technology. At 20,000 feet a UAV can get close enough and slow enough to get excellent pictures and videos. They’re hiding something and the media is not asking the right questions.

    They are definitely hiding something.

I would argue, if what they've shot down are harmless air garbage, they would want to hide that as much as anything else.

As I said the government has the capability in identifying what is there before shooting it down. If they were actual UAP’s I serious doubt they could take one down let alone 3 now.

I will agree that we have capabilities, but i don't think they have identified what these were before they shot them down, i think we shot them down because we couldn't identify them.

Yet we’re being told they posed no threat to anyone and they were brought down because of possible air traffic collisions. I’m not buying any of this.

That would make sense if it turns out what they shot down was just junk floating in the air.

That's not going to protect them from the criticism of spending that kind of money on taking out what amounts to floating garbage though.

At 20,000 feet an A-10 could have been used but I don’t know where the closest one to Lake Huron is. Or a UAV.

Agree, and the longer the gov't (Biden) stays silent, the more concerning it's becoming. They didn't have to tell us about the take downs, but they did, and now haven't explained what it was they took down and where it's from.

Thanks to John Kirby we know the last 3 were not balloons and no propulsion system could be determined. The mystery only deepens.
