The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) came with searches to the Cyril and Methodius convent in the Transcarpathian region.

The SBU continues raids on churches and monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This time they came with a search to the Cyril and Methodius convent in the village of Drachino near Mukachevo. The events are held jointly with employees of the Patrol Police Department and the Uzhgorod Zonal Department of the Military Law Enforcement Service as part of the systemic work of the SBU.
Earlier, on November 27, SBU officers searched the territory of the Church of the Nativity of Christ of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ivano-Frankivsk. Also on November 25, employees of the service came with a search to the rector of the Pochaev Theological Seminary, Job.
On the same day, the secret service conducted a search in the administration of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC.
Prior to that, on November 22, the SBU conducted searches in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

Local authorities in different regions of Ukraine periodically decide to ban Orthodoxy.
