Litwin, I was answering to Face. That was a point between me and him. And the point is that I would accept the arguments about illegality of the actions in Crimea from anyone, but not from Americans. To teach others how to live may only those who has clear hands.

rejecting evidence simply due to an irrational bias against all Americans, makes no sense.

Well, for me it makes full sense. If you do not respect another country for what it has done before, why you should follow its advices now? Precedent was created in Yugoslavia, so I do not see anything irrational here. Russia was not the first in this respect. If you admit, that US violated human laws when bombing Yugoslavia, and broke its integrity, I would admit that the way Crimea was annexed by Russia was not correct. Be consistent.

This is your right. And the right of Russia is not to trust whatever word comes from the US.

Puritanical Putin is allowing the Russian oligarchs to build a large gambling resort in Crimea, and it will be ready in about six months. See all you sybarites, he ain't so bad. :cheerleader::alcoholic::hippie::banana:

A better way to put it would be; 'only those with clean hands can teach others how to live', or; 'you better make sure your hands are clean when you tell others how to live'.

When a German minister said that Russia is the only nation which has changed the borders of a nation since WWII, a Greek presidential candidate became furious. ..and what about Yugoslavia, and what about Cyprus. .. The problem here is that the U.S. believes it is the law, therefore no nation should do anything without its approval. In other words might makes right, and if you don't bow to that stratagem we'll destroy you.

To be honest, I don't think this administration can accept defeat. It refuses to readjust it's geo political strategy into a more realistic and more humane one that would truly represent the will of the American people. Instead it covers its actions with lies and spins which I find very reminiscent of the USSR?

Litwin, Putin has nothing to do with Barkashov. Moreover, his party was rejected to be officially registered. Guess why? Because Putin did not want that.

I feel that I will be the only tourist from Russia in Crimea this summer :) If seriously, I do not see anything strange, there is nothing to do now in Crimea-the sea is cold, weather is also not very warm. Let us wait until this summer.

Litwin, the season in Crimea starts normally in June. So it is too early to say that there is a dead tourist season in Crimea. There have never been a lot of people on the Black see at this time of year. NATO propaganda has nothing to do with this :)

Spend May's holidays in Crimea? I hear that first time. That's is ridiculous. There are no such tradition in Russia or Ukraine.
Also how one web-camera from some beach can represents something.

I think that holidays are OK there. I checked booking.com. booking.jpg 35% of the hotels are reserved in Yalta, for example. This is not so bad for this time of year. And as Ender 8419 noted, one camera can not be a representative example. I checked the other web-cameras in Feodosia- it was quite crowded. And look TV of what was in Sevastopol today- there were huge crowds there. Also most probably, a lot of people were today on the Parade in Sevastopol.

I don't need google to know what is going on in my country. Also previous 5 summers i was in Crimea =). Season there starts in June and ends in September. Also nobody goes to Crimea to spend May's holidays. They are not long holidays like Christmas or something to spend it somewhere.
1st of May is a Day of Labor - usually people just goes to picnic or makes barbecue with freinds
9th of May is a Victory Day - people spend it at home in circle of relatives and visits memorials and town squares to shows their respect and memory to those who defeated Nazi in WW2

    That's all.
