You called them terrorists, and said Trump told them to fight the law. I offered a more plausible explanation.

Complete nonsense. Any of them could have stopped any time they wished to and left. Where do you come up with these fantasies?

They were terrorist. And Trump was fighting the law -- he expected Pence to simply overturn the EC . . . which would be against the law. Homework, GC, homework.

And your "explanation" ignores the facts. It asks us to ignore what actually happened and what Trumpists actually said and assume, instead, that they were seeeeeeecretly logical. Complete nonsense.

Such that it was physically impossible for them to leave if they wanted to? Bull ****.

Terrorists have specific political goals. Granted it seems some of them had murderous goals. But Pence certifying EC is merely symbolic. Killing him doesn't accomplish anything politically. The certification can simply be postponed. The real acts outlined in the constitution that are relevant here are the CHOOSING of the electors, and the VOTING by the electors. Everything else is sign, transmit, seal, certify...etc.

The electors were already chosen, and they voted for Biden. This process can no longer be politically affected. Acts of violence associated with the CHOOSING and VOTING of the electors, if it had happened, could be classified as political terrorism because in that scenario, the violent acts would be pursuant to a possible different political outcome.

Sometimes the goal of terrorists is simply retribution. Their assumption (and Trump's assumption) was that Pence's role was not "merely symbolic." They (including Trump) never cared what the Constitution had to say about the issue. Pay attention.

All this could have been avoided if Congress established a committee to look at the ballots and the Dominion machines in counties where the anomalies occurred. This is what the people at the rally wanted, but Congress didn't allow it. Pence might have been able to, but he didn't.

Trump is now thinking of creating a 3rd party - and he should. Tulsi Gabbard should also think of establishing another party, because the Democrats did her and the American people wrong.

Someone said that by not conceding the election, Trump might form a government in exile. It would depend on the path Biden takes the country - or rather Harris.

First of all define a terrorist.

Then tell me how it has been possible for a "terrorist" to be there, despite Secret Services [do they still do their job?], police, firefighter, angels, demons, aliens ... and whatever you like best.

If she was a "terrorist" authorities left her to reach that point.

But she was a veteran of the Air Force [this is a little detail].

I'm just having a tough time jumping to insurrectionists or terrorists. Maybe we will see some social media or other evidence indicating some were terrorists, just too stupid to know there was no different political outcome that could be obtained by their acts.

Terrorism is violence, but not just violence, it must be committed with the intent to obtain a certain political concession from a legitimate government.

For example, the concession demanded on 9/11 was the complete withdrawal of all Western military forces from Saudi Arabia. So they weren't just murderers, but terrorists.

I see that the Republican party has been listed as a state sponsor of terror. Heaven knows they are a far greater threat to America than ISIS.

Trump was too stupid to realize that Pence/Congress would not be able to overturn the election, so why assume the most clueless of his clueless followers would be smarter than that? Have you even bothered to ask yourself why they were chanting "Hang Mike Pence"?

Hell, many of them were Q . . . they literally believe that the President is sending them coded messages about secret, satanic pedophile rings. Have you just not been keeping up with any of this **** at all?

According to the Constitution, the electors are to be chosen by the State legislators. But in the States in question, most legislators are Republicans and since the Democrat Governors didn't want to take a chance on the election integrity being questioned, they decided before the election to have the electors chosen by a State official. How did they know beforehand? Very suspicious!

This is why two sets of electors were sent from the States in question. One set was from the Governor or a State official, and the other from the legislators. What Trump and the people wanted, was a 10 day Grace period where a Federal committee could examine the ballots and the Dominion machines.

Pence took the easy way out so as not to upset his base, and some Republicans thought more of their investments and connections to China, than their country and the American people. These Senators are now starting to realize the consequences of their inaction.

In the meantime Texas is thinking of seceding from the Union since they have nothing in common with the liberal Democrat states like NY and California, and some other states are thinking of it as well.

    Way to go Texas:

Yes. According to the laws set by those state legislatures. Which is what heppened.

Complete nonsense. In all of these States, the laws for selecting electors existed decades before the election happened.

More bull ****. The States sent their electors based on their elections. The "alternate" electors were illegal. If there were standing to challenge the ballots, they would have brought it to court.

Bull ****. He obeyed the Constitution. He had no authority to do otherwise.

Bull ****. Some Republicans decided that licking Trump's boots was more important than the rule of law and the Constitution.

The children thinking of seceding need to get their binky, stop advocating sedition, and calm the **** down.

I had concerns early on about the reports related to this shooting. It sounded like they were just firing into the crowd at nobody specific. IDK. I will wait for the investigation.

Nope. That's what I thought too at first, but no. The guy who fired was purposefully aiming, specifically, at the woman jumping through the window.

Terrorists shed terror, overall [otherwise they would be disappointing dorky terrorists!]. This is probably the most significant difference between a terrorist and a revolutionary. They attack institutions, but with well different purposes in the brief term and well different goals in the long term.

There was who called Americans terrorists when they fought against the British occupation, just to say. Actually they were revolutionaries.

But this is just a digression about definitions.

You know we do have Google, and it's a good idea to look things up before coming out with blank statements - because you might be wrong.

According to the Constitution, the legislators are to certify the electors. In the States of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Michigan the Governors certified the electors. This is why it was called a Constitutional crises. Normally the Supreme Court should have taken the case, but Roberts was either too frightened, or was compromised in some way. Regardless, he bullied the other judges not to accept the case knowing that if they did, they would have to go with the Constitution and the State legislators.

As I said, if the legislators were to certify the election according to law, they would have examined the Dominion machine in certain polling places as well as the ballots. But the Democrat Governors decided to go against the Constitution and certify them instead.

“Governors in these contested states have declared themselves to be the law due to COVID and are now actively preventing the state legislatures from exercising their constitutional authority to review the election process.”

The argument of the Amistad Project (a project of the nonpartisan Thomas More Society, a legal group that has been very active in the culture war in recent years) is that both federal and local statutes are interfering with the constitutional authority of state legislatures to certify presidential electors, and that the laws are a violation of the doctrine of separation of powers. (Article II of the U.S. Constitution states, “Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors….” (Emphasis added).

No. An antifa member made them vandalize and loot the capitol.

I know it sounds absurd, but that is how they are trying to justify their actions.

except for a crucial flaw in your assumption, ANTIFA aren't anarchy/anti-government, they defend the basics that made America great.
