Congratulations... not easy (btw, I did not say not to eat a balanced diet, you reduced carb\calories, and it seems to have worked for you)

agree, one has to cut calories, and they can't do that with excessive carbs or excessive fats

but, if one doesn't want to feel like they're starving all the time while on a diet, lower insulin, as then your cells can use fat as energy easier, lowering the carbs and eating the amount of protein needed for their body helps preserve the muscle they already do have

carbs and fat are what the body uses mainly for energy, protein is the building blocks, so eat meat, lower carbs and reduce fat intake to lose weight

once one is the weight they want, eat like our grandparents did, meat, potatoes and vegetables, and do not snack all day or drink carbs all day (fruit juices or sugar pop)

and people need some fats to process the fat soluble vitamins, but can get that with butter on ones veggies, etc...

No I control the portions of everything, not just carbohydrates. I don't even pay attention to it. If it is healthy and something I like to eat I eat it. It is just matter of eating less of it.

The point is excess, not what one eats to excess. Eating to excess is unhealthy no matter what your diet includes.

I don't feel like I am starving at all. That happens only during the first couple of months. After that the metabolism gets accustomed to the smaller portions and they are normal. I can't even put down what I use to eat when I was fat. My body rebels against it.

All are necessary for a healthy, balanced diet. Of the three, the body needs the least of the proteins. Proteins are efficient tissue builders.

Thanks for the opinions. I walk the walk so I understand how it works.

you reduced carbs, though, right? and fat, Which is what I said..... and did you reduce protein below the daily suggested daily allowance? carbs and fat are where one should reduce - now if one is eating lots of donuts, ect, with lots of sugar and fat, yep, cut those out, think we can both agree there

and we both agree that you have to reduce calories to lose weight, make sure to eat the things with the most bang for the buck in nutrition and the diet will be healthier, stay away from empty calories as much as possible

by lowering the carbs, you reduce insulin resistance and then are no longer starving, so that makes sense - it does take some time for your body to get used to eating your own bodies fat stores efficiently to use it as energy, to lose 80 lbs, you must eat 80 lbs of Animal fat, ones own internal fat stores in this case

I wish the military would do its job and guard our borders. Trouble is the criminal imposter and cabal that occupy the White House now won't let them. Plus, DoD has become a pit of transexual clowns and traitors.

I've taken the confusing route of trying to tell the truth, in the US
    of all places.

DoD doesn't do defense, and appears that perhaps it is only allowed
to with some kind of legal work around.

On 9/11 whereas most countries can get fighter planes in the air in
less than 15 minutes, the US took an hour. And the reason is the
    DoD only normally does offense.

Should be called the 'Department of Offense'.

Present day US foreign policy is built on lies.

My question is will any of the 2025 defense budget be used on defense?

A friend said to me today: "the reason people are fat is because they ignore the government dietary guidelines"

So I corrected him: "the reason people are fat is because they follow the government dietary guidelines"

How much of that money was actually spent in exchange for something that is a done deal or how much of it is just budgeted that hasn't gone to anybody for anything?
