Why do you believe marriage should be limited to only adults if you want to expand it?

What criteria are you using to limit it to adults?

Seeing as how marriage is a public record, and the FF&C says that ALL public records are to be recognized, I would say that marriage falls under the FF&C.

And no it wouldn't force states that recognize same sex marriages to stop issuing licenses, it would make states that don't have same sex marriage recognize marriages from other states.
In some states the age of consent is lower than others, but if a married couple from one state where it is legal moves their marriage is recognized by the other. The one with a lower age does not have to raise their age limit.

Both genders can marry so you are incorrect it is discriminatory based on gender. Its discriminatory based on sexual preference.

Marriage is a legal contract, you have to be of legal age of consent to sign a contract. We don't allow children to sign contracts now, why would that change?

Are you saying that a woman should not be able to enter into a contract that a man can?

Children sign contracts all the time from child stars to the kid who gets a job at a grocery store.

    Nice try.

Once again liberals try to hide behind laws that ban some sexual preferences but want to eliminate laws that ban sexual preferences they like and still laughably claim its a new right.

Its the very height of hypocrisy.

And they must have an adult sign for them. Unless they are over the age of consent.

Child stars do NOT sign contracts. Their legal guardian does. Same with kids having jobs. If their legal guardian opposes it, they cannot work.

18 is the age of legal consent in America. It is age that marks one as an adult.

The actions of adults that harm no one should not be regulated.

Wrong again. No adult signs the contract when you work at a grocery store.

Of course you can. You just can't have it recognized by the state and you've given no reason to change that. Gender discrimination is invalid since both genders can marry. You want sexual preference to be considered without giving any justification for it other than your feelings.

That is a complete fabrication. No one but myself signed the contract for every single job I had before I was 18.

    Enjoy your fail.

Contracts signed those under 18 are unenforceable. Common knowledge

BTW, what jobs did you have before you were 18 that required a contract??

So you are ok with the government discriminating based on gender. Good to know.

    (Not particularly referring to Grock)

To be quite honest I'd prefer marrying my dog than some of the crazy homophobes around here. He may not be pretty, but he sure is smarter!

I wonder what gays would say if people called them stupid or not rising to the level of failure? I'd bet we'd hear from the moderators about that. Gays don't want equality. They want unchecked power and undue influence without question.

Lets talk about polygamy and Lawrence v Texas and keep the verbal abuse to a dull roar, OK gay-advocates?

Nothing could be more false. By that logic companies would never have to pay any children who got jobs without their parents signing.

LOL Are you kidding? When you work for somoene, anyone with a business who pays taxes on you that is a contract. My God this is common knowledge.

Well it is a fact that I certainly have never met an intelligent homophobe. The people in this thread seem to split between smart, pro-LGBTQ people versus dumb, anti-equality morons.

What additional rights? When same sex marriage is legal you will be able to marry someone of the same sex too. If you so choose.
