At least and in core ... yes, they are! Of course not all, but even they are forced by the regime due to fear to get punished if not following. Majority is fanatic... this is a core problem.

If you attack a country which is lead by a bad regime and the people know they are led by a bad regime or even parts of the population is depressed, you can hope for help and that the regime will break out of this internal depressing of population ... but if the majority does not know that they are led by a bad regime which depress them and they think teir daily life is the usual and normal thing on the world ... and more, in reality all US people are in reality depressed to be slaves of corporation etc. ... well ... Who will be there to be happy to be liberated?

And the next issue is to understand after this is simply that NK is pure by topography a total other battle ground as Iraq and the complete country is comparable to the Appalachian area in the USA!
Even the equipment of their Forces is mostly much lesser modern and sometimes over aged too (like still having about 100 T-34/85 tanks from WW-2 aside some thousands more modern tanks in service), they have much of it and they are no "life target for smart US bombing actions" and playing the sitting duck ... they have much stuff and capacity to hit back hard too.

Well if there is fighting in Korea on the ground I sure hope that US troops are not involved in it.

We had to do that back in 1950 - 1953 so it seems like this time it should be S.Korea's job not ours.

It seems unlikely that anyone in N.Korea would try to topple Kim Jongun. He has N.Korea bottled up tighter than Adolf bottled up Germany. And nobody in Germany was able to knock off Adolf either.

The South Koreans, among others, are extremely concerned that their fate may be in the little hands of two unstable megalomaniacs. Let's hope the Mar-a-lago Angry Tweety Bird is indulging himself in more of his vapid bluster, and that it is no more substantive than his fake promises to immediately repeal 'ObamaCare', release his tax returns, and build a wall.

Americans are all wee wee'd up about the progress of the momentous Pence Commission in apprehending the 3-5 million bogus balloteers that donned invisibility cloaks. every one of whom cast their counterfeit votes against the messiah.

Let's resolve that matter of vital national security first.

They will be for sure ... the complete 2nd US Infantry Divison + enforcements are stationed in SK ... and for sure will more follow.
Adolf had 12 years time to Brainwash Germans and to change them and to depress parts with a terror regime (honestly ... a British Historian wrote "10 % of Germans were convinced and evil Nazis, 10% were fighting the Nazis and the rest of 80% of Germans tried to arrange with the regime, found this or that good, other not, but won't to get into trouble").

The Kim family regime had 70 years time to do so!

Kim Jong un's greatest asset is his stars war boxer shorts....

Seriously, whst worries me mote than anything is 3 things.
    1. Kim hasnt got nuclear weapons to keep in a museum. He'll use them
    2. His arsenal of fortified artillary aimed at Seoul could flatten it
    3. His submarines particularly his largest with about 300kms missile range could be elusive enough to roam the seas striking anywhere

Put me at ease military expert readers. What would stop him? Can he be stopped? IMO he wont bow to any sanctions.

The Mar-a-lago Messiah missed out on a chance to make a yooj deal.

When he surrendered global leadership to China on climate change, he could have demanded Xi castrate the other narcissistic crackpot as a quid pro quo.

China looks after China's interests. That's a given. So if China believes that South Korea or Japan are beginning to think in terms of needing nuclear weapons in order to defend themselves from a nuclear armed North Korea, they may adjust their thinking towards (and support of) Kim. While I agree with you that we need to address the proliferation issue, if we cannot get things under control, it will not remain the case that states like North Korea and Iran will end up enjoying a special monopoly status with regard to possessing these weapons. At some point, if your hostile neighbors possess nuclear weapons, the NPT becomes laughable and the world becomes a much more dangerous place. This is the significant issue we now find ourselves up against. If we can't get a handle on this, things are going to go from bad to worse.

I have always thought of the NPT as laughable based on the mere fact that it is a voluntary agreement and has a clause in it stating that even members that do sign on can un-sign at any time.
