A friend of mine has a pistol that is roughly the size of a full size semi-auto pistol and it holds 30 rounds of 22 magnum.

I don't remember exactly what the make and model is but it's two initials.

Another friend of mine has a bullpup 12 gauge and I asked him if it holds about 15 rounds and he replied with an answer that was unbelievable to me at the time... 41 rounds

It has twin magazine tubes each holding 20 with One in the chamber. 12 gauge shorties.

Seen that. Just went and looked up an article on it. Interesting gun. Kel-Tec has quite the reputation for being an unconventional manufacturer. My Friends 41 round bullpup 12 gauge pump is a Kel-Tec as well.

US Secret Service uses the Kel Tec P50 now. All my shotguns are Mossberg since that's what I saw the Army using in Iraq. I understand the Marines use Benelli shotguns.

I had actually never seen 12 gauge shorties before then. I would have lost my money on that bet because there is no way I would have thought that gun held 41 rounds.

And they probably do sacrifice a little performance to get that shell that short but then again when you think about it the wadding in a 12 gauge shell does take up quite a bit of room. These have no wadding to speak of. If they do it must be exceptionally thin.

I saw the gun in action and it looked like more than enough to put a man on his ass on the losing end of it.

Nothing wrong with a good Mossberg.

A lot of people underestimate the humble 22 long rifle round. Yes of course it doesn't have a whole lot of kinetic energy but I saw a video recently of a guy in a hunting blind who was hunting baited hogs and he shot one right behind the ear from 60 ft and it was a relatively large hog.... Easily over 100 lb and it dropped right there on the spot like a sack of potatoes.

I had some contact with Federal Fish and Wildlife Service agents (aka "game wardens") 22 long rifle is the preferred weapon for poaching deer at night with "jacklighting". it's almost impossible for someone to locate the shooter unless they are within a few hundred yards
