In addition to adding insult to injury, hours after Awan was arrested, arraigned and bailed out, Debbie Wasserman-Shultz has fired him. Nevertheless the firing comes after months that this Awan spy operation was exposed.

It's curious where the Capitol Police happened to find that laptop.

Here's an interesting snippet from your article:

And then there's this which was published yesterday:

B-b-b-but they're Muslims! Islamophobia! Racism! Bleat!

    How about all these democrats?

    from Zero Hedge:

Imran Awan being paid nearly $2 million working as an IT support staffer for House Democrats since 2004. Abid Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were each paid more than $1 million working for House Democrats. In total, since 2003, the family has collected nearly $5 million.

The staffer’s services were so important to congressional members, that on March 22, 2016, eight democrat members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issued a letter, requesting that their staffers be granted access to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI). Of those that signed the letter were representatives Jackie Speier (CA) and Andre Carson (IN), the second Muslim in Congress, both of whom employed the Awan brothers.

The brothers were also employed by members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, such as: Jackie Speier (D-CA), Andre Carson (D-IN), Joaquín Castro (D-TX), Lois Frankel (D-FL), Robin Kelly (D-IL), and Ted Lieu (D-CA). Lieu has since openly called for leaks by members of President Trump’s administration despite the fact that he may until recently have been under surveillance by a foreign entity.

One bombshell that has been all but ignored by the main stream media is that Imran Awan had access to Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s iPad password, meaning that the brothers also had direct access to the notorious DNC emails.

The brothers are accused of removing hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment from congressional offices, including computers and servers, while also running a procurement scheme in which they bought equipment, then overcharged the House administrative office that assigns such contractors to members.

Reportedly in an "unused crevice" in the Rayburn HOB. I used to work on the top floor of that building so I am unsure what this crevice could be based on my memory of it, but it is a pretty big building and there are lots of out of the way places. Like I almost never encountered anybody in the stairwells because everybody used the elevators. I used the stairs precisely because it was faster than the elevators. They were probably doing a routine search for explosives/suspicious articles and happened upon it.

I think anybody dealing with them should be in the suspect pool.

    HA!

That must be the "massive federal Islamophobia" I've been reading about.

I was wondering who came up with that crap...

Hiding people on payrolls is apparently a more common kickback method than people, or at least I, realized. There is a case in North Carolina where two prosecutors were doing this. Each had the other's wife on the payroll but they were never actually working and it took whistleblowers inside those offices to bust them for it.

    Smells like extortion to me.

Page 23 of the court documents linked in your article makes for some fascinating reading...

Having worked with a number of outsourced contractors from both Pakistan and India I have found that they are all similarly trained. Using a remote server and also connecting remotely to their clients local computer(s) is quite typical. I doubt Awan used any thumb drives because actual tech's were probably located in his home county, Pakistan. Thumb drives would be too slow and would not have enough capacity to move the data. These IT contractors rely on speed to keep their costs to a minimum. Normally if they are working for US based clients they will work with a US based leased private or virtual private server paid for by the client.

More than likely, these are the actors that allowed the hacks to occur in the DNC, which is why they're busily destroying evidence.

It also explains why the DNC didn't let either the FBI or the DHS to look at their servers.

Why they haven't been confiscated yet is beyond me.

Probably because they haven't found the location yet. When they do, they would need to subpoena the data from a third party such as Rackspace, Amazon or any cloud service including Microsoft.

They sure did. In his garage in fact.

Here's an interesting take, including a video of DW Schultz trying to intimidate the police. https://www.steynonline.com/7997/flight-and-fancy

It will be interesting if they flip this guy and he sings. Releasing him probably reduced his life expectancy.

Just googled CNN, NYTimes on this story and there's nada.

This story is huge but instead CNN is reporting that "Britain banning gas and diesel cars for 2040". That should create a lot of buzz.

It is appalling that there is zero coverage of this major scandal but every MSM source all took the opportunity to lambast President Trump's address to the Boy Scout Jamboree. There can be no doubt that MSM is intentionally attempting to undermine the president's agenda. The rise of alternative news sources such as the Daily Caller, Circa Media, Town Hall and others is needed and welcomed.

Mika has already scolded us and said it's the media's job to tell us what to think, not the President. I laugh every time Trump tweets something directed at MSNBC & CNN fake news, Mika's face tightens up and bleeds a little more.

    lol so true!

I have been saying it a lot lately but this is the new norm.

The Republicans are super pissed off that Dems have basically forgotten about government in order to attack Reps. When the Dems are in power, the same thing will happen and the other side will complain all the more.

McCabe ... McCabe followed instructions, and stood idly by while evidence was destroyed. The only question I have, is who gave McCabe his instructions?

The good news is that this story is starting to spread. The New Duranty Times may be avoiding this like Stalin's genocide in the Ukraine but more outlets are covering it than there were this morning.

What a lame excuse by the Demos. Blaming it on Islamaphobia. The Cops should have known the Demos would cover up.
