From what I understand this wasn't an isolated incident.

You can convince those that do not use their heads of darned near anything. If they wanted t hang Mike Pence they were abject fools. That attempt would have never worked, and in truth was probably not the end target of their aim. This makes the people that thought it would work as fools, just as it makes the people that thought this was on the verge of ending democracy. All fools that do not think things through.

To thinking people, Harris can do as she pleases. It is no skin off anyone's nose. A quick USSC review would easily shut down anything of the sort, just as it would have in 2020.

This could be viewed as a threat.

I wish I could like this post twice or give it a trophy emoji, but the best I can do is quote it to let you know how much I approve of this message.

Although I have never liked anything at all about Kammy Harris, I don't think the reason she and "Elmer Fudd" lost the election was because of themselves necessarily. Instead, truly, I think that most American voters had finally gotten so utterly sick beyond description of all the hyperliberal, Leftist, "woke" crap that was being jammed down our throats that we finally just puked it back up in one enormous, angry spasm when we cast our votes!

BTW, this was also true for many of us who voted Independent and not for Trump (believe it or not). 8)

At some point Democrats must confront the fact that many of their cherished neo-socialist delusions are not (NOT) shared by most Americans, and won't be for many years to come, if ever....

People thought when Kamala was said to be a communist or a Marxist
that it was an exaggeration, they were surprised to find out it wasn't.

I had to reassess my understanding of Marxism.

Yes, there are useful bits in it, but most of it is poison.

Kamala's career achievements peaked when she was on her knees in front of Willie Brown.

The reason VP Harris lost is most Americans thought Biden and company did a lousy job of governing. They blamed him for inflation, rising prices, for the problem at our southern border. The Biden administration which Harris was part of as VP. 57% of all Americans disapproved of the overall job Biden and company had done with somewhere between 55-65% disapproval on their handling of most issues.

Going by historical standards, given the above numbers this election shouldn’t have been close at all. But it was. Trump won the popular vote by 1.5 points, the third closest margin since 1900 with only 1960 and 2000 being closer. The GOP lost 2 house seats while gaining 4 senate seats. If one went by historical standards comparing Biden and company numbers above, one would expect more of a landslide election. One in which the republican candidate won by 10 points or more, gained 30 plus house seats and 8-10 senate seats. Jimmy Carter back in 1980 had similar numbers that Biden had this year, a 39% overall job approval etc. Reagan won by 10 points, the republicans gained 35 house seats and 12 senate seats. As I said, this election should have been a cakewalk, but it wasn’t. I’ll let you figure out why it wasn’t.

Just a reminder - the popular vote is like the Miss Congeniality prize. All it means for the election is a lot of very populous states - usually those with huge urban areas - tend to vote Democrat. Trump won 58% of the votes that actually count.

what the popular vote shows... it who most American voters voted for

Affirmative action for the smaller States, known as the EC decides who wins, Trump was an Affirmative action President in 2016, this time he won the popular vote with 49.80% of the vote

what we see by this is the US is divided almost 50\50

Hmm, I think those who voted for the house of representatives also counted. What the popular vote shows is how evenly divided this election was which as I stated shouldn’t have been. Not considering past historical standards with a sitting president sitting around a 40% overall approval. Yes, Trump won big in the electoral college, but the GOP lost 2 house seats which the house is based on population. Granted the electoral college isn’t and neither is the senate which the republicans gained 4 seats.

Trump will enter the office of the presidency with a divided nation approximately 50% for, 50% against. Then it will be how he governs for all of America, not just his base that will give us his overall job approval. The midterms will also be more based on population than was the electoral college. We’ll see what happens then.

Two results by design. But, remember for a long while there was no vote for Senate - each state just named their senators.

Good points. But remember electoral votes are based on population too; number of Senators AND number of Representatives - which are population based.
