I think the quickest test is 48 hours and that still requires a lab and supplies. Normally it takes longer and you could contract the virus while waiting.

That is why the emphasis on testing is misplaced.

 

I was referring to the antibody test. There is a quick antibody test but it's not available at this clinic yet which is what I'm waiting for to get the antibody test. The one they are doing is a blood draw and sent to lab. The quick test is a finger stick and 10 minute result.

Call around to the testing sites, I bet you'd find some places. If the little town of Harrison has them, then I know the bigger cities have them.

Another state that has LOTS of testing is North Dakota. South Dakota has ~100,000 and not as much testing.

As a nation, we're still in the tall grass when it comes to testing.

That's significant as far more testing is needed to meet the requirements of Trump's plan for opening America.

 

Blaming China or WHO for delays is ridiculous.

Our disease came through Europe, not China. We had PLENTY of time.

And, WE have been monumentally slower than has China, with OUR government issuing "happy talk" lies while hiding science.

When we were fully aware we were still having Trump rallies, Mardi Gras, Spring Break, and no domestic travel policy. The president was still demonstrating to America that masks aren't necessary (like he does even now).

We' still have nowhere NEAR enough testing capacity. We're still losing medical staff to COVID because of our failure to provide PPE. And, COVID is not retreating in America.

 

We will never will have enough testing capacity to test 350 million plus daily. Trump shut off travel from China and the UK while democrats introduced a no ban bill. Most ppe are produced in China and the ONLY company her said they could not expand fast enough to produce what was needed.

We are losing medical staff because they are being laid off. 1.4 million so far.
