    I've always wondered how you're supposed to "rebuild" something that was never destroyed in the first place.

    Or is having the largest military on the planet by a wide margin some people's idea of a military emergency?

    Defend themselves from what?

    The imaginary bogeymen concocted by politicians and war profiteers?

    What added protection would you see as a result of a significant increase in defense spending
