You don't need to actually seal the border, in fact you can open it wide up if you want. The key is to make America far less desirable than the place they are leaving.

Take away all their employment, take away every single benefit they get, take away every single government program they can partake in. Give them triple the sentences of citizens when they get caught for a crime and you will see them simply stay where they are or go somewhere else.

If they have no reason to come here, or they fear coming here, they will not come.

Where my son works at AISIN where another 7 were deported for using the same names and SSN's for 5 years. Don't hand me that crap. They aren't that closely scrutinized here. most of it comes from Mexico anyway......nope, I grow and put up my own food. I buy or trade from local producers what I cannot grow. Because you are unfamiliar with how it works, it is called barter and trade. I put up my own deer meat every fall. By golly, I have almost 400 lbs of deer meat in my freezer and I have enough canned food to last 4 years (put up by me) How prepared are you? and none of it comes from filthy little hands crossing from south of the border working in the US.

 

They already are. The difference being that many employers prefer workers who work, don't take sickies every other day and are reliable.
A few years ago a documentary interviewed the owner of a Scottish fish cannery and asked him why, if he advertised his vacancies locally, he wasn't getting any responses from the local unemployed. His response? 'They would rather be paid by the state to lie in bed all day despite being offered a good rate of pay...' His Polish and Lithuanian workers could be relied on to do a good day's work. And that, at the end of the day, is all an employer wants.
