And as I'm sure you know, many of these jobs are done by virtual slaves who are owned by local Hispanics who contract the jobs and run the crews. My wife had to have pool for the kids - I wanted a new Mercedes or an old Porsche but not a pool that I have been the one taking care of - and the whole thing was built with wetback labor. The hole diggers, the reinforcement and gunite guys and the rock layers were all wets under the leadership of Hispanic bosses who got most of the money in the end. I knew a Mexican in Austin in the 70s that had 10 wetbacks in a house and only unlocked the doors to take them to the day labor corners around town. Then he locked them back up at night.

Why is it good for uneducated minorities to vote Democrat, and bad for uneducated whites to vote Republican?

May I provide you with an example of intelligence/ignorance level of en masse Democratic voters? Granted, it's been few years since this video been taken, but nothing has changed. Watch and shudder.

Are you sure they are illegal? Or are they poor Puerto Ricans who have migrated from the island and are now here? Or are they legal or US born who just say the right words or phrases to employers so that they can get hired while at the same time trying to support their family here in the US. Depending on the industry depends on those changing demographics of who obtains and who does not obtain those jobs.

Wages are being kept down, not because of wages, but because we have been keeping inflation down, through the use of the FED and those low interest rates. If you want wages to rise, then you must be willing to raise the interest rate a wee bit, like 5%, to pay for the wage increase. With wages being kept down, and to make those things inexpensive, then those trade policies are a must to keep prices down and inflation in check.

Yeah they are illegal. The majority of them anyway. How do I know? Because I talk to them, there open and honest about it. Of course I hate to use anecdotal evidence but there it is, take it as you will.

As for the trade side I'm just analyzing what I think the average Trump voter is thinking. Look at the reaction to the Carier layoff video. Many blue collar workers feel screwed by free trade. A lot of the service jobs of the new economy just don't pay what those manufacturing jobs do. And when robots start taking those things are going from bad to oh (*)(*)(*)(*) somebody put that fire out.

I don't know, my experience has been both. I have had people tell me they are illegal when in fact they are not and those who say they are legal which in fact they are not. And yes, I have had people say that they are illegal in which that is true and those who say they are legal in which they say that is true. Point is that no one really knows if they are legal or illegal, even EWI, until all evidence is examined. Simply them stating that they are illegal may or may not be so, given certain situations and where people will say and do almost anything for a job. I even had one person offer their daughter her hand in marriage if I give him a job. The daughter, he said, was in Costa Rica, where he was from. Turned him in for prostitution of his daughter.

I know that is what Trump supporters are saying. However, with the Carrier factory, I would have to look at the financials for the last several years and where their orders are coming from, price liquidity, and a few other factors. However, this article shows that the main reason for the layoff may have to be productivity increases rather than pay. The article say, "Manufacturing is not in decline, but the size of the manufacturing workforce is in decline." So, how do we deal with increased productivity while still trying to keep the same number of manufacturing jobs? Raise prices?

I am going to assume you meant "when robots start talking" . I agree. Have you ever read Isaac Asimov's "The Naked Sun"?
It's a real possibility that earth will become like that.

You obviously are unfamiliar with the phrase "over credentialed and under qualified." Here is "ignorant" coming out of college after 6 years with a 4 year degree, $150k in debt and either unemployed or working at Starbucks.

A plumber, who you assume is "ignorant" can easily make $70k/yr for those same 6 years and be debt free with money in his 401k. Maybe the idiot isn't him, but the guy who describes him as "ignorant".

Besides, Sanders is killing Hillary in the College Age demographic.

The clown who spends six years earning a four year degree, graduates with one hundred and fifty grand in debt and ends up working part time in a service job is "highly educated". The plumber who makes seventy thousand a year for those same six years and has money in his 401k is "ignorant".

And Sanders is cleaning Hillary's stinky old clock in the College age demographic.

I'll stick with my 'poorly educated' friends and family any day over my 'highly educated' friends and coworkers.
Some people's hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.

Education doesn't mean you can't be ignorant. Look at every young person who voted for Sanders because they think college debt will be eliminated. You simply can NOT be more ignorant than that.

    Case closed😀

Remember, everyone in California gets a high school degree.

So ya know, can't really measure anything about intelligence.

Actually, there are way more uneducated whites in America than there are blacks, and most of them are Trump's chumps.

    From another unlikely leader:

“The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.”
    ― Adolf Hitler

Not suggesting Trump is aligned with AH at all, only that both perceived the "masses" similarly and employ(ed) the same style of communication. Very effective ... and exactly why our two most established parties' nominating processes have "checks" in place to "balance" our weakness for the messages of those who would exploit that weakness. Unfortunately, it's still politicians governing politicians.

Those student loans pay for the education and training of people like surgeons who fix you, scientists who bring you innovations that benefit your life and teachers who educate you. Are they "college bred idiots"?
I'm sure your doctor would be overjoyed by you calling him an idiot. Perhaps you should just fix yourself if you're so disdainful of his achievements. I hear Gray's Anatomy is quite useful if you want to perform surgery on yourself. Or you could consult your local mechanic.

Weird. These "poorly educated" that he referred to are not "stupid" people. In fact, what's dumber than spending $150,000 on an "education" that can't get one a job?
Earning under $50,000 with zero educational debt is much better than earning $70,000 carrying $100,000 in debt.

Now, on the subject of ignorance. Ignorance is this...labor rates are based on supply and demand. Right now, we have a glut of available labor...which means the price of labor drops. Illegal immigration drives down wages for low skilled Americans. Liberals complain about low wages but support illegal immigration. Ignorance at its finest!

The most poorly educated Republicans are probably still smarter than the most poorly educated Democrat voters.

It's my opinion that Trump - or the phenomenon of Trump, is a collaborative product of the media and those who accept what the media shows them. It is a bit lazy just to turn on the tube and be told what to think ... "Everybody says so!" Nice and easy, a lazy way out of having to think for yourself. And maybe that's what the article should reference - a "thinking divide."

If someone asked me to name/blame the "dumb guy" in this whole primary carnival, it would definitely be television news. They - in their entirety, have fumbled their pubic responsibility to offer balanced coverage in their willingness chase ratings by putting Trump on the screen each time he gives them a sound bite.

Media darlings are not new and as long as their casts include Triple Crown winners, eight year old piano prodigy, or real heroes. But to showcase and distort the relevance of something or someone for ratings is at best irresponsible.

Libs are robots and you don't need an education for that. But whoever programmed them, made them angry and nasty.
