Hardly. I said "until next time" after you conveniently avoided the post immediately before it: http://www.politicalforum.com/index...s-on-abortion.580016/page-203#post-1074303792
An individual woman in the US is covered under the Ninth Amendment. Claims by church or state to control her body are illegitimate.
How would you define or express my point? Have you studied the 14th Amendment and what it means, how it came about?
Your poor comprehension of meaning of words suggests English is a second language for you. The enumeration in the Constitution of CERTAIN rights SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED to deny or disparage others (rights) RETAINED BY THE PEOPLE. p.s. "the people" is comprised of individuals.
Suggesting it is a foundation upon which to build an assault on women's healthcare is about as stupid as imaginable.
The right to bodily autonomy is well recognized. Except, that it is under constant assault, obviously.
Yes I know that. Many state and federal laws are written, legitimate or not, by politicians devoted to religious dogma and orthodoxy.
No, abortion is NOT one of the rights enumerated in the document. If you were familiar with the document you would know that, but obviously you're not familiar with the document. Examples of the enumerated rights are the right to trial by jury, included in what is called The Bill Of Rights. Read it someday, you might find it interesting. The point of the Ninth, as described by James Madison and others, is that an exhaustive listing of the rights of man is impossible. There are too many to list them all, hence the language of the Ninth, which seems to escape your grasp.
I'm sure that's true, is it's what's happening in a whole lot of US states. Sad to say, but the bought and paid for USSC has got their backs, regardless of the constitution.
