I'm fully willing to talk about "American workers", as they face corporate power almost totally unprotected and on top of that our economy is changing at a pace that makes it incredibly difficult for middle aged, middle income employees to keep up - let alone those lower who have experienced decades of stagnation in buying power.

At one time, America was the world's leader in manufacturing - we had the knowhow, transportation, law, etc., and others didn't. Now, most of the world has caught up. That isn't our fault and it isn't something that is solved by us trying to lock the doors.

Biden fully understands the economics. He also understands the geopolitical implications of reversing trade policy without negotiation.

Biden has said little on China. This doesn't mean the administration has no plan, but he cannot lift tariffs on China without something in return.

 

So, to summarize.... Biden did say equate voter ID with the Civil War and specifically said that was NOT hyperbole.
