When Obamacare is fully implemented in 2014, you can look forward to a tremendous hit to your savings account and your checkbook.

For example, are you ready to lose your employer-sponsored health insurance and be dumped into Obamacare “exchanges? Once this happens, are you ready for your health insurance premiums to dramatically increase once again?

Here is a very good review of several of the most objectionable features of Obamacare. Remember, this law was passed by the House Democrats in the dead of night by one vote.

First, It would raise, rather than lower, health costs. The Medicare chief actuary says that Obamacare would increase health costs by hundreds of billions of dollars by the end of this decade.

Second, "it would cause millions of Americans to lose their employer-sponsored health insurance and be dumped into Obamacare “exchanges.” These exchanges would be heavily subsidized, which means that much of the burden of health coverage would be shifted from employers to taxpayers. Already, 4.5 million Americans have lost their employer-sponsored health insurance since Obamacare was passed, as the overhaul offers plentiful financial incentives for employers to get out of the business of providing health care for their employees.

And third, "it would cost twice as much as the deficit commission is trying to “save.” The CBO says that Obamacare would cost an estimated $2.5 trillion during its real first ten years, at a time when the deficit commission is trying to come up with $1.2 trillion in “savings” over ten years."

What's wrong with Obamacare? The fact that Congress wants to be involved in medicine at all!

Thank goodness it is not yet a universal Euro style system!

Obamacare resembles it very closely, however.

I take it you are rather enamored with the British National Institute for Clinical Health and Excellence (NICE), the British rationing agency that so many of Obama’s nominees like and admire so well.

This is very true, Black Monarch.

Can you imagine these guys debating and voting on how you should be treated?

You would die before they made a decision!

Well for one, it's 1600 pages long. It was written by lobbyists and not a single elected official has a clue what's all in it.

But hey, I'm sure it will all work out for the best. It has the word affordable in it's title doesn't it? Everyone likes affordable care.

    You are very correct, jhffmn.

Thanks to the hard work of Nancy Pelosi we now have "affordable" heath care!

There's a simple solution to healthcare in this nation. Defund Obamacare. Return funds to the states in the form of a categorical grant with one provision: hold referendums on the issue of healthcare. Include on the ballot the possibility of universal healthcare, a hybrid system, and a completely private sector oriented system. When each state decides on a system, they can allocate funds to it.

    Spare us "The Neurosurgeon" quotes!

Anonymous callers into Right Wing nutcase shows indeed are the "experts" YOU like to guide your life, but most people prefer REALITY!

Employers were dropping healthcare by the THOUSANDS the year we passed Obamacare, but ALSO dropping healthcare and dramatically raising the price the year before THAT, and the Year before THAT and the YEARS before THAT!

Blaming this on Obamacare is the height of silliness!

Hopefully the Supreme Court wil render it unconstitutional next year.

How on earth did the Democrats come to the conclusion the government can compel you to buy something you don't want or need? ... This is insane!

    Ha-Ha!

    Very good, Black Monarch!

Especially when most members of Congress did not even read the bill before they passed it!

I pay the costs of my own healthcare, so should you. I don't want to pay for your healthcare and I don't want you paying for mine.

Do you believe like the liberal in my sig quote?

Unfortunately, you do not pay the costs of your own healthcare. The costs of treating uninsured individuals who cannot pay their bills is passed onto those of us that do have insurance as well as the fed gov't. The only way you will ever pay the costs of your healthcare alone is if the individual mandate passes the SCOTUS. Until everyone has insurance, those of us that do will effectively be paying for the treatment of those that don't.

    You are mistaken, cooky.

If you have health insurance, you pay for costs of your heath care. These costs are reflected in your monthly premiums. If you did not, the insurance providers would lose money!

The government should not be forcing a mandate down our throat when they are so disorganized in handling Medicare and Medicaid. It appears there is manipulation in enrolled numbers that states submit to the federal government to obtain the funding for their programs. Many of these people are simultaneously enrolled in many different plans when they are actually only under one plan option. This allows states to obtain additional funding by "mistake" from the government which means our tax money.

Medicaid cost per member in each state when comparing them is off the chart and do not make any sense what so ever. What does government care if they don't do their job right, its not their money that is paying for it, it ours. People need to unite and make a stand and say enough is enough. Until the government can prove and provide a fair system of health coverage for its citizens and remove all of the parasites that steal from our healthcare funds, we should all refuse to participate in this mandate.
