Mothering being genetic is a curious proposition at best, but it is interesting and not clear cut. I heard a pediatrician once say that right out of the birth canal boys want to be Julius Caesar and girls want to be a mother.
If you are unable to differentiate a person's gender identity from their biological attributions, you should at least respect a person's perception of self as far better informed than a statist's who would wish government to intrude and attempt to impose such a personal matter upon others. What scientific basis do you have for imagining that they invariably align when there are folks who are living contradictions of your presumption, validated by numerous clinical studies? Gender identity: One’s innermost concept of self as male, female, a blend of both or neither – how individuals perceive themselves and what they call themselves. One’s gender identity can be the same or different from their sex assigned at birth.
I am I missing about a male or a female's "biological attributions" I am the one pointing them out. What is the difference between male "gender identity" and female "gender identity". I am the one who asked first...............what is a woman? I ask again Which ones are the women and which is the man?
Well I'm a cat because I feel like a cat.... My delusional assertion is every bit as "valid" as yours... You can be whatever you want to be but what you can't do is demand that I call you something you are not. Now you're trying to force your will on me
If you feel a need to assign a gender identity to someone, you are restricted to observable aspects of that person. If you are dealing with the individual's gender identity, that is a psychological matter only the individual is capable of determining. Bureaucrats dictating gender to Americans is intrusive statism. Trust qualified gender specialists - practitioners licensed in psychotherapy, counseling, or education directly oriented toward gender-identity issues who have undergone a minimum of two years of direct supervision or consultation with a practicing Senior Gender Specialist, not politicians with no qualifications in the matter, even when they pander to your prejudices.
Stereotyping. No genetic evidence. I'd welcome some. I've been known to change my mind when presented with such.
I wasn't trying to present genetic scientific evidence. That probably doesn't exist. I was just reciting the 40 years of experience and observations of one professional who watched kids and mothers from birth to puberty. Experience and observation sometimes is more telling than some nerd working in a lab.
You cannot psychologically switch from male to female overnight. Being male or female is not a question of what you are wearing. It is about how you see the world and what you prioritise. About how you love, about sensitive and aggression, about sympathy and empathy, about interests and choices. Unless you are schizophrenic, you cannot switch these things on and off. You can be a soft male or a hard female but you cannot change your psychology.
A person is whomever that person knows himself or herself to be, not whom the State orders him or her to be.
The state has no eight to be involved in peoples minds anyway. That is intensely private and since your fundamental legislation bends over backwards to protect your personal freedoms, I find the tendancy among some legislations to interfere with personal identities, tantamount to interfering with you right to pursuit of happiness . Such efforts are IMO a gross overreach of power and should be reststed at every level. Women react to and create things in what we call a feminine way. It is the product of hormones and genetics. They aren't about whether to wear a dress or boxer shorts. It isn't even whether you like rugby or ballet. (as we know ). It is about the way we think, feel and react. As I said, it is about priorities and how sensitive you are to certain things. I seriously doubt , unless a born male has a complete hormone change, can know what being a woman is like and V V. Frankly if you feel better and wearing things does it for you, go ahead. But you cannot switch back and forth and really be two things properly. That is schizophrenia.
6 pages in, and you are still confused? Males have a penis, girls have a vagina. The situation is organic, in 2022. Males can turn to girls, and girls can turn to males. Males dress as girls, and girls date other girls, etc. Legally, and medically they refer to the person individually as birthing persons, or born person. BP. Male non BP was born a girl. Male BP was born a male, and may have switched 18 times..Tomorrow then can cut if off, and become a female. They would be female non BP, or just female. At the end of the day, they are either their gender BP, or not at any current time. There is a trans BP.
They still don't think like their new identity even if they felt they didn't think like the identity they were born with. That is to do with the way human hormones affect areas of the brain. For example can a born male turned female know how a born woman feels a day or two before and during their period? How about during menopause?
I would expect a long silence from one of those present. A true woman could explain in detail her PARTICULAR emotional responses to these female situations. We don't all respond the same in detail but we all have similar basic responses. And you cannot learn them and sound genuine. It takes a true woman to know.
The hang up is not self identification per se. I don't care if this girl wants to think she is and act like a boy, or that boy wants to believe he is a girl, or even if Charlie wants to think he is a horse. You are correct that it should be none of the legislature's business. The problem comes when these transgenders demand certain benefits and allegiances. Like the boy who thinks he is a girl using the female bathrooms and competing in girls track or softball of basketball, or the transgender that demands I acknowledge his/her new identity to the extent of showing some allegiance under penalty of the law. That is a problem and is the business of the legislature.
The sports issue can be simplified by having games involving only those who have been transitioned, a bit like the paraolympics. I am used to unisex toilets so don't see it as a problem. If a born man becomes a female and wants to use female toilets, why should women worry, since he is now just like any other woman . And V.V. Just lock the cubicle and ignore the politics.
Ideologues resort to intrusive statism to impose their dogma upon everyone - their politicians seizing the province of medicine from public health professions, climatology from qualified climatological scientists, and even schemes to steal democratic elections from the voting public. The same folks are hellbent on their bureaucrats usurping a woman's right to control her own womb. That they would fantasize that their politicians and bureaucrats could dictate to a person that person's gender identity is entirely consistent with their all-encompassing submission to the State.
Two transgender leagues would be extremely sparse. Wouldn't be enough to field one partial state high school team let alone two let alone a league, so it would have to be two state teams; then who would they play??? They couldn't play each other because that would be a boy/girl team playing a girl/boy team! You may be used to unisex bathrooms but 99.999% of females don't because they don't like their pictures taken and some like the two in Loudoun County, VA don't like being raped in a bathroom stall (by the same boy no less.) I have no concern with the access of a man who has physically and physiologically changed through medical treatment and surgery into a female. I doubt anybody else does either. That's not what we're talking about.
Me>> Which ones are the women and which is the man? It was asked to someone who seems confused, I KNOW which is which.
I identify as a normal male. I was born a male and I am a male. Having some inclination not to identify as a male would mean I would have some mental problem.
Says who? You have a degree, and published work to back up that claim? If so, you are advocating for a classification that may come with some benefits for such persons.
Yes, being a normal male leading a normal life, and not living in some troubled mind with stupid gender worries. What about you?
