I believe the main difference is that we seek justice, and even if we have to eat to survive, we try to kill animals painlessly as possible. and I believe there are two legged animals living among us with the same human rights that they should not have:

People who kill animals kosher way is another example.

Animals do not breed as boisterously and with so little point.

That video contradicts everything that you just said.

Cephalopods like squid are extremely intelligent and should not be butchered while still alive.

Humans have fear of the consequence of their actions and fear of death. That is mostly unique in the animal world.

That's why it did not come from evolution, but it was programmed into our DNA by ancient aliens. :)

1.Animals have more empathy, and intuition, but also more uncontrolled emotional behavior.

2.Animals have not yet rationalized what is good or bad. They have no concept of killing another living being as immoral in itself. Their action is simply another choice of behavior, relative to the environment.

Therefore, one could almost conclude that Liberalism brings one closer the natural order of the animal kingdom, than does Conservatism.

However, there are animals which do nothing but feed on other dead animals. And there are animals who routinely harrass more docile and peaceful dwelling animals., driving them from water and vegetation they need to survive., and killing their offspring.

In that regard, Conservatives are closer to the animal kingdom than Liberals are.

It's fun to eat live octopus.

I would argue that syntactic grammar and religion seperate us from animals. I always find these sort of thought experiments silly and they deserve silly responses.

How about space travel? Ever see another species build a rocket and travel to the moon?

I'm pretty sure that fear is not unique to humans... just try catching a wild animal with your bare hands. It's not easy.

I'll recognize the intelligence of animals when they organize and start petitioning the public for rights.

What is the difference between humans and animals?

The fact we are having this discussion.......over the internet is one.....

And the fact the Opa the great 'sage' from planet Tiberial came to this eath and breeded with monkeys thereby creating the modern human. I could be wrong on the latter reason but hey its fact!! !

So what's wrong with killing humans "as painlessly as possible"?

Not fear itself, but a real cognitive sense of the future ramifications of their actions and the ultimate outcome of their journey on earth, death. Religion applies here. animals worship at no altars.

Animals understand future ramifications of their actions. Ever owned a dog?

I think in terms of hardware/software the brain of an animal is probably very similar to a human, they are just far less advanced.

    Some of it may be.

That does not make the case for the rest of it.

Fine then, far off future ramifications that do not immediately manifest themselves in a slap to the rear.

Humans are infinitely more aware and intelligent than animals. It was not because of evolution. Gods or aliens, take a pick.

Why does supposed "intelligence" bestow on humans a right that is denied to other animals?

I have a dog I would readily kill a human to defend.

Humans are interesting creatures, them and their weak, hairless little bodies. Why, the only reason those pathetic meat sacks survived the ice age was because of their overpowered brains. They often view themselves as greater than all other animals, and in most ways they are, but at the same time they are no more civil than the poo-flinging monkeys they view with enjoyment at their zoos.

I must give them credit on their humane ways of killing other animals. While bears are ripping injured deer apart limb from limb, some humans are raising hell over the quick and painless death swine and other domesticated animals are given on their watch.

Us penguins wait for our chance to strike but while they have their internet and 4G wireless connections, we have just perfected the telegraph.

I have two dogs. very similar mentality to fox news and neocon types. but I love them because they're very straight forward and primitive and not crooked.
