What needs to happen before we drop the idea that Saudi Arabia is an ally?

    Terrorism, money, and oil are the only things that come out of Saudi Arabia. In that order. Obama won't rock that boat, and the last 2 bush's literally held their leaders' hand. What needs to happen before we call them on it?

    The U.S. will kick the Saudis to the curb when their oil runs out. Not before.

    We need to become energy self-sufficient.
    Develop alternative energy sources, develop safer nuclear reactors and use fossil fuels to fill the gap until we can eliminate most of them.
    Then we could ignore the ME and focus on improving our country.
    After that, return manufacturing to the US and stop sending all our jobs overseas.

    Only a tiny minority of Saudi's are terrorists. We can hardly blame all the decent, peaceful Muslims in Saudi Arabia for the activities of this miniscule minority!

    We were attacked by Saudi Arabia on 9/11. We should have taken over there and turned
    that country into a peaceful democratic Christian nation.

    That's true, but the sect of Islam that produces so many of the Sunni terrorist groups is also the one that rules the House of Saud.
