That’s right weather is only climate when you say it is.

    Ah! Perfect misunderstanding exemplified!

To explain: Weather is not climate even if a denialist claims it is because climate is an average of trended weather patterns

See, you just proved my point...lol.

The globalnazis are using climate change now, more often then just global warming b/c the term "climate change" covers both ends of the spectrum, it covers all areas.

I mean, if your going to perp a falsehood, it looks better to cover the whole spectrum instead of just 1 side of it. You whip all the palsied people into a frenzy and get them believing they are killing the planet, then they start feeling guilty and before you know it, you got TV commercials on Disney channel telling kids how to unwrap their Christmas presents without tearing the paper so they can reuse it next year and save some trees.

I can't believe you people really buy into this stuff that man is causing the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing planet to heat up or cool down. Talk about mankind's own conceded views. Yeah, man can kill the planet and cause more violent weather b/c he drives a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing Suburban around town.

I think a more worthwile project is in order:

How did the information age cause man to get so (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid and gullible?

Interesting information and I already know it.
There are a lot of confusing words in science and some of them have dual meanings. The thing is to develop understanding. :fart:

    that is incorrect.

there are multiple definitions of poverty.

there is absolute poverty, for example, and relative poverty.

If you talk to people living in affluent areas of a city, they might think that what other people believe is a fair wage would mean they were "living on the bread line".

poverty is generally the outcome of either scarcity of resources, or maldistribution of resources. :)

I think it depends on how the product is marketed.

I listened to the a segment of the science show today with marc morano speaking .... those who are brought up in a world where fire and brimstone preachers are the norm might subscribe to the way he presents things .. or those who rush out to but those "but wait there's more" gadgets advertised on late night TV.

Its kind of preachy, over the top, one thing after another so you don't have a chance to think about what he is saying ... and you don't get a chance to interrupt and question him.

personally, I turn off when people start talking like that. it reminds me of someone having a psychotic episode, and I find I don't listen so much to the content of what they say (which is often babble) so much as try to get to the meaning behind it.

generally that method of communicating is used by people who aren't sure of their ground, but if they say it loud enough then they convince the more gullible, and so can begin to feel more confident about their position.
