Is the COVID19 just another Dem ploy to oust Trump that got out of control? Tin foil hat stuff or Deep State desperation? Why were so many people hoarding before this story really got legs?Why is there such a shortage of protective products that were otherwise available in surplus? My big question is why is the market and the economy being wiped out? There's no argument that there is a pandemic if you only look at the numbers but not severity, this is not ebola or the plague, it's not even on par with the flu. Am I alone in thinking there's something wrong with this story? Is the hype and hysteria going to cause us to be caught with our pants down if something worse is happening?

Well, the virus is real. It's very contagious. And it appears to be at least ten times deadlier than the flu, mostly in the elderly and those with ailments. The scary part is that there is no vaccine yet. While the flu infects tens of millions, and kills tens of thousands of Americans, that is in spite of nearly half of our population being already inoculated against the flu. No one is inoculated against Covid19. That's the pivotal point. If it takes off before a vaccine is developed, it could sicken nearly every American, and kill several million. That's option number one. So everything being done now is to slow down the spread until a vaccine can be developed. That's option number two.
Just to understand what you're saying. What is the conspiracy theory they're pushing on wingnut media that you repeat here? Is it that Dems made up COVID19. As in, it doesn't exist, and all these deaths were made up by the all-powerful Democratic Party paying-off the worldwide media? Or is it that the virus is real, but it was manufactured by somebody the Dems hired, like... Michael Steele or something, and then they started the pandemic in China just so they could bring down Trump? You need to be more clear when you bring up Conspiracy Theories. Which of those is it?
I dont think this is a dem ploy, however they see the collapse of the economy as an opportunity. I'm sure as we get closer to election they will accuse him of needlessly destroying the economy. I think the virus isn't worth this destruction.
This virus will rid the world of a lot of old and unwell people who are big consumers of health care, Social Services and pensions. What will the world be like, if as hypothesised, 4% of the population is removed? Will it be very different? Will we be less conservative or more progressive?

Yeah.... That doesn't seem to be enough things to know in a period of crisis like this one. But that might also explain the OP.
Covid 19 is an unknown. We don't know if it's seasonal, or if how many people will catch it, if we have enough medical facilities, or how many people might die. The fear of the unknown is always greater than the fear of the known. With the regular flu, we know about how long it will last and what the medical requirements are going to be. Human nature is driving this crisis. Hopefully, in a month, we will know more about it and irrational fear will just replaced by normal worry.
Covid 19 will change the world . As a bio weapon is designed to do China is done in ssupplying cheap products to the US . We will crash and enter into a depression as we rebuild our economy . It wont be pretty.
