Different people in a different time and place. Is this a trick question?

The only thing you need to know...the ONLY thing...is that Biden is the greatest president ever and that George Bush was the worst president ever before Trump. As long as you know that you'll be fine. Also, racism, climate change, white nationalism and gay rights. That solves everything!

In both cases local Democrat leadership failed in their basic responsibilities with regard to public safety. In the case of Katrina the local failures were blamed on Bush and in Maui the failures were blamed on climate change.

Bush and FEMA, under Brown, took many steps to help Louisiana prep for the hurricane. At the local level, much of that assistance was never taken advantage of. In Maui, it appears that local authorities actually managed to neglect preparations that may have staved off the fire and then made things worse by refusing to release water, issue evacuation warnings and blocking escape routes.

In both cases the idea that the federal government should be the lead and be held most to account when things go wrong seems to have been the primary reason that things went so bad.

Which accusations are unfounded exactly? Biden's "no comment" remark, and his 'kitchen fire' story? They're FACT! Yet you're
perfectly okay with it! Your undying love for the old man is pretty hilarious and embarrassing!:roflol:

Oh, and I suppose this is worse than Biden's "no comment" remark while on vacation, and his 'kitchen fire' story! :roflol:
