    What pure idiocy.

If you love Gridlock, then just encourage your mentality. If you really enjoy watching nothing get done, just encourage it.

Remember in the Senate, almost any minority can tie things up right now. The Republicans are doing it now, the Democrats were doing it before, and if it goes the way you want to do it, look forward to the Democrats doing the same again.

    Like I said pure idiocy.

Here is what will happen when the next Republican President is elected- just like when Bush was elected I will wish him every success in the world. A truly successful President will benefit all of our country.

Unlike some, like Rush, I would never prefer the destruction of our country to the success of a political opponent.

Actually he's spot on. You should attack concepts rather than location. Fact of the matter is the right wing is far more dangerous than the left. The left is trying to help people, they just do a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty job because they never bother to look at what a policy would do in reality, preferring to live in some ideal land where there are no unintended consequences. The right on the other hand does things out of spite, in the name of jayzus, and/or for the almighty corporation, and blatantly so (the dems support corporations as well, they're just not so blatant about it). The right doesn't want to help anyone other than the super rich and corporations. They don't even believe in small government anymore, just straight authoritarianism.

The gridlock is the one point he has. We need gridlock because our politicians are doing nothing good. They continue to spend despite our massive debt and deficit without even bothering to attempt to cut back. We've been in how many wars since 9/11, 4 (the big 2 and the two we gave air support to)? That all costs money. The patriot act is still going with no sign of going away. There is no sign that we will stop torturing people any time soon and passing the NDAA just secured Guantanamo existence. FFS Obama had an American killed without a trial!

Seriously until we get reasonable people in office I would much rather nothing get done than to see our nation continue to get (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up by both sides.

Due to post deletion I simply want to state that I do not agree with the OP. I believe that tyranny is wrong and the use of government as a means of vengeance is not reasonable nor does it conform to the ideals this nation was founded upon.

Revenge is the sweetest joy next to getting (*)(*)(*)(*)(*). I never turn down a chance for revenge.

We've taken nothing but abuse from the liberal left for the last 3 years. More abuse than any half of the nation should have to take in public forums.

We've had to see our Public Commons, to which we have equal use rights, being appropriated and occupied by leftist revolutionaries. Egged on by the press and idiots like Time holding them up to Egypt and Syrian protestors! A group of ragged vagabonds while the truly heroic Tea Party are maligned and slandered as domestic terrorists.

We had an unfortunate Congresswoman's blood smeared on us in buckets with false accusations.

A vicious and scurrilous and biased media attacks our candidates and places them under the most discerning and vicious microscopes. Private thugs hunt out their private files from decades ago and leak them to the press. They attack the way one candidate and his unfortunate family deal with their grief. They demand tax form releases and college transcripts, while Obama uses lawyers to hide his.

Union Activists invade our State Halls because when we try to desperately shore up our failing state and local budgets while Union Bosses suck us dry at the local level and their button men hold us hostage, shoot business owners, vandalize property and otherwise thug out on their own employers.

We watch as Obama uses national regulatory agencies as attack dogs to cripple, maim and make less profitable virtually every industry in America, while raising onerous taxes against us and redistributing it to every crony capitalist, green snake oil industrialist, minority beggar and gangster and environmental whackjob he can find.

    We have suffered gravely.

Taking vengeance would solve nothing and would only lead us closer to tyranny. It is better to bury the hatchet and move towards liberty than anything else. Obama is not the threat you make him to be; he is nothing. He has done some (*)(*)(*)(*) that goes overboard for certain; keeping the Patriot Act, keeping the wars, signing the NDAA thus legitimizing Guantanamo, killing a US citizen without trial, however to use this and advance further is not the answer. We need to advance the US through fiscal conservatism and freedom, not tyranny and destruction.

Obama has expanded it and done nothing to stop it. He is not innocent. We need people who actually want to change the nation for the best. The problem is those people are labeled as insane.

Actually as an outside viewer, he has a much better perspective of our actions than we ourselves do and since all major western media is run out of the US he'd be pretty much inundated with American culture and politics whether he want to or not.

Depends on your point of view. Better in that he may delay outright insanity for 4 years yes, but past there, not really. Personally if the nation is going to burn itself I'd rather it happen sooner than later because I'd rather go through hell while I'm in my 30s than in my 40s. In the end neither party is stopping the bleeding. Both parties are going to war, both parties are destroying our rights, both parties are spending money we don't have, both parties are pushing the limit. It needs to stop, and if we won't elect someone to stop it and give us a graceful entrance to the new age then I say elect an idiot who will burn it as fast as possible so we can get to the new age quicker.

Well, I'd say it's out of our hands at this point anyway...probably always has been I suppose. Personally? I'm going to hang to see the end. Knowing evil will be destroyed soon is almost worth the wait. I wouldn't miss it. Until then? Try and enjoy the last few days of God's beautiful earth before he blows it all to Hell and enjoy the ride. Nothing can be done about it anyway. We're toast.

Gotta say I don't disagree. Things are going to get worse before they get better. America is a phoenix at this point, well hopefully it will rise from the ashes anyway. The path has been set by every citizen who votes for a democrat or republican. I remember someone said that the reason we haven't seen aliens yet is because civilizations destroy themselves, and maybe they were right. I certainly hope not, but I look at the republican front runners and it's clear that people are (*)(*)(*)(*)ing retarded. We're the world superpowers, and if we're seriously running these idiots as the head of the nation then humanity really has no hope.

I don't know, I mean most Conservatives oppose things like Obamacare for example... but that doesn't mean that a Republican president will not later take advantage of the precedent that is now being set in a way that is highly unpleasant for people who tend to disagree with Republicans.

The point is that fans of powerful centralized government should be careful of what they wish for in this system of multiple ideologies, because 'their guy' can't retain power forever... someone else is getting in there eventually.

When a Republican President Does Finally Take Office...

...the only difference will exist entirely in the minds of the simple-minded flunkies on either "side".

    Enjoy the puppet show.

    Hummmm ... interesting rant.

So you see The Presidency as a way to get even?

    Interesting use of Power.

Somehow ... I think the American People will see that.

Thank you for admitting what I've been saying for months: if a Republican gets elected, they won't give up any of the current government's power and will continue to use it to (*)(*)(*)(*) over the people.

A vote for either mainstream party is a vote for tyranny.

Vote for freedom. Vote for Ron Paul.

What do you think Obama was about? He's been "getting even" with Conservatives for 3 years.

You liberals have been spoiling for a fight and revenge on us ever since Bush was elected in 2000.

What do you think Jay-Z was talking about on Obama's Election Night when he screamed "My President is Black!"

He saw Obama as the means to finally stick it to the Conservative white devil and obviously you and others agree.

I hope you're wrong. I don't want a Republican in office to keep the powers accrued during this tenure of leftist, centralizing governance; I want a Republican to disassemble those powers.

Peeling back back the superstate, returning a little bit of liberty, and cutting down on the crony capitalism should be punishment enough for liberals.

Gridlock has a price which "Republicans" will pay and so does the alleged 'agenda' of your "pretend" Republican President. Welcome to America.

And it is returned 10 fold by the Conservative media machine. To deny the fact that both sides have their vitrolic talking-heads means that you are living in a fantasy land. Come back to the real world.
Your views of both movements are colored by your hatred of anything that does not coincide with your opinion. I actually see a total waste of momentum by the Occupy movement. The movement should be focused on political action and not wasted on the Anarchist taint it currently has. Many of us do not agree with the methods the Occupy movement has used. However, if they used the same techniques used by the Tea Party (i.e. dressing up in silly costumes and bringing loaded weapons to ralllies) the police would have used even more force.
I seem to recall the Right calling the shooter a Lefty many times. Both sides tried to place him in the other's camp. The reality is: He is a whack-job who really had no coherant thought process. His ideology was all over the place and often claimed radical beliefs from all over the spectrum.
Again, both sides have acted like children. You have a large group of the Right calling the President "A Kenyan". No other President has had to produce his Birth Certificate as many times as President Obama. It is rather hypocritical for you to whine about the Democrats behavior when the Republicans have launched the very same tactics against their own canidates.
Many of these agencies were created by Republican Presidents because even they realized that Corporations will not care about anything but money. President Obama has not increased taxes one bit and has even reduced taxes since being in Office. Taxes have never been lower. Both parties cater to their cronies and lobbyists. You are creating a false history and want to see the President as this evil disctator. This is the one of the most Moderate Democratic Presidents I have ever seen. He maintained most of the Bush Administrations policies and has tried to place long-standing GOP policies in everything he has done.

Government grew greatly when President Bush was in office. Crony capitalism is just as active in Republican circles as it is in Democratic circles.

Here is what I would love to see from a Republican President: veto any bill with any pork barrel spending, get rid of the NDAA clauses, close GITMO, Eliminate the Department of Homeland securty, get rid of the TSA (not just privitize it like they want to), repeal the Patriot Act, Stop Oil Subsidies, and get rid of Lobbyists.

However, since almost all of these things were created BY a Republican, I doubt they would do that. It was a Republican that caused more harm to the cause of Liberty than President Obama has (other than the signing of the NDAA)

Just like a pendulum, it will swing back the other way eventually.

    Look at history --

Truman - Democrat - 8 years in office.
Eisenhower - Republican - 8 years in office.
    Kennedy/Johnson - Democrats - 8 years in office.
    Nixon/Ford - Republicans - 8 years in office.
Carter - Democrat - 4 years in office.
    Reagan/Bush - Republicans - 12 years in office.
Clinton - Democrat - 8 years in office.
Bush - Republican - 8 years in office.
Obama - Democrat - 4 years in office (so far).

So forcing people to pray to an imaginary sky daddy is something you want at school? Ahh typical christian...whats next you want them stoned or tortured to death for not believing in jebus?

PS dont come at me with excuse you christians always pull "thats in the past" comments whenever stoning comes up, I thought you were supposed to take EVERYTHING in the bible seriously:shock:

This is why I cant stand "special interest groups" (accept homosexuals, if anyone has a right to say they're "oppressed" its them)
