Well if this country was built on those Faith's, then political correctness will never die. " Do unto others as you have them do unto you" this means we don't go out of our way to insult people. We threat out enemy as ourselves. No one's sin is greater than another's.

Here's the thing. There's a difference between being oppressive, being politically correct, and not being a jerk. The latter two aren't a problem. In the US, you have the right to be PC and a jerk. The first is the problem. Also, this nation was NOT founded by Catholics. They were a very small part of the population at the time of this nation's creation. But even so, the founders explicitly said that the government shall not endorse a religion. So the religious make up of the founders or first citizens of this country doesn't matter today. Thomas Jefferson had kind words for Muslims, you should look them up. Not sure what a slave ideology is, maybe ask the Confederacy of this country and then compare it to modern day Muslims and see how it matches. Spoiler alert, it doesn't match.

 

America is the most diverse nation on the planet. This is something the left fails to acknowledge. The problem with diversity and the P.C. culture, is that they fail to recognize that the "Religion of Peace" is antithetical to the basic principles of republicanism on which our freedoms and our nation is founded.

 

The Protestants and Catholics didn't exactly get along, nor for that matter did the Protestants get along too well with one another. They came here initially to be free to practice their goofy faiths and cults.

The nation was established by men who were not so religious, at least not by a modern fundamentalist standard. This is evident in our Constitution, which establishes the separation of church and state and religious freedom.

None of this justifies all of this ranting and raving about Islam. People of all faiths and no faith are free to live here and believe whatever they like. Muslims have the same protections that you and I do, as it should be, and as with Protestant and Catholic and Orthodox Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, or atheists such as myself, most by far are peaceful people. Also, let us not forget that the Protestants you mention in your post killed people out of superstition and religious intolerance, and this was after they fought bloody wars in Europe against Catholics and other Protestants for centuries.

It is interesting watching how many Democrats try to create false history by making a generality - and then escalating it to "Thomas Jefferson had kind words for Muslims" - as if that is true, when it is false.

Thomas Jefferson recited the Muslim claim that their holy book allows them to engage in war and to take Americans they capture as slaves. While the USA was being blackmailed by Muslims for which the USA was paying a HUGE tribute to Muslims to stop attacking our ships and enslaving Americans Jefferson was gratuitously polite and he stated he felt it better that people have ANY religion, even Islam, for moral guidance than to be atheists, who he saw as having none. But it also was Thomas Jefferson who ordered the FIRST war this country was ever in - and it was WAR AGAINST MUSLIMS.

Who said Islam is a slave ideology? Among others, Thomas Jefferson did.

Who Thomas Jefferson most condemned is atheists, claiming they are even lower than Muslims in morality and ideology. Since YOU cite Jefferson as an authority, then you agree with his negative view of atheists, correct?

Our greatness while being so diverse indicates that we should not fear diversity, so why do I see some people complaining so much about immigration?
