When Will Republican Voters Wake Up to Their Own Oppression?

Another brilliant piece from the encyclopedic mind of Radio/TV host & prolific author, Thom Hartmann. Upon detailing the sordid stratagems of the filthy rich, he asks a very simple question of why oppressed voters continue to vote for their oppressors.

So first he claims they do nothing now he claims they oppress them.... It seems kind of contradictory, don't you think?

 

I think they know, but as long as they don't stoop to the level of the immigrant or black man, they can 'happily' live in their imagined 3-tier system.

 

Oppression does not come from your boss it comes from a government created out of whole cloth by Democrats beginning at least as early as 1932 whose policies are designed almost by default to both limit your choice of bosses and make is more difficult to leave your boss if he proves an intolerable tyrant. One should note that sl.ost a the fortune 100 money goes to Democrats meanwhile most of the mom and pop money, what they can spare, after paying for various federally approved consultants to make sure they are in compliance with the various federal edicts that effect them, goes to the Repubs.

In other words Mr. Thom is either lying or ignorant as pond scum.

As long as Republicans can point to someone else that is “attacking” their base they can continue to refused to legislate and keep the status quo of their donors absorbing vast amounts of money.

We have the most expensive healthcare with falling results, some of the most expensive telecom plans, a tax code that the very wealthy hire teams of accountants and lawyers to skirt taxes and then Republicans want to defund the IRS so that they only target the poor and middle class.

But as long as they can scream trans people want to play sports, or CRT! (which they cannot even begin to comprehend), or the left is grooming kids (ignoring that most pedophilia comes from heterosexual men, they ignore child beauty pageants and ignore the largest instance of child grooming — religion).

It’s all completely transparent so Republicans have also attacked education deeming it woke.

 

How have Democrats limited who your boss is or have made it more difficult to quit?

I used to listen to Hartmann on the radio when his show was still broadcast here. I've read a couple of his books. He has a genuine concern for the worker bee class. He has pointed out, for as long as I can remember, that in economic terms Repubs vote against their self interest. Partly because of effective, but deceitful, Repub messaging accusing Dems of abandoning worker bees. Those workers are apparently too distracted to notice Repub pols have never been with them and never will be.

 

By making it more difficult to become one.

BS. Wealth inequality is how you avoid having to deal with the fact that left's attempts to micromanage literally everything through the bureaucracy has crippled small business creation the primary entry path to the middle class for 500 years.

A note wealth is a lifetime achievement award. It is accumulation after taxes over time. That's why we tax earnings not wealth as does every other modern country.
