I'm so lonesome here all by myself tonight. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra9eLLg_6uE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra9eLLg_6uE[/ame]
You know I had to [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrojFR7jM9E"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrojFR7jM9E[/ame]
And so did I..............cause only you would do that [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r2pEdc1_lI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r2pEdc1_lI[/ame]
It was a beautiful bright spring day, I went out and took pics of the ducks, got chased by a jealous goose...
What an echo. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHN6AViJAvI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHN6AViJAvI[/ame]
Of course I have some coffee brewing. I always have a pot on. So grab a cup, pull up a chair and take a load off.
The weather here has picked up phenomenally. I think they're saying highest temperature for this time of the year etc etc etc. As it happens, Himself has gone for a few days to see Manchester United football team and although I'm not alone in the house, the giant son will not emerge from his cocoon until p.m. as he was working back to back shifts, so I might as well be alone. So...it's dry and sunny and I have 2 days off. I have to make use of it, because weather here is very changeable and you can go for weeks without it being dry enough to let you do things like painting the garden furniture. I've painted (well, treated it with woodstain) the arbour seat. Now, I'm going to do the chair and table by the door and then...sigh...scale the Hill of Death to do the fence at the top of the garden, which was replaced after the devastation of winter. If I have time left, I'll do the steamer chairs and the table and chairs for the patio. Last will be the remaining fencing, but it's not bad because I did it late last autumn. OT, I suppose that means you're on your own again until the painting's done......but at least you don't have to scale the Matterhorn with a paintbrush attached to your back.... (this is seriously going to be the year I dig out steps and a patio up that Hill of Death) I am going outside now, I may be some time...
You're very brave. The men in this house won't go up a ladder. They don't like heights. It's very expensive, the gutters need doing and the paintwork under the eaves and they just won't go up there. I'm not allowed up ladders because if I ever need operated on it's high risk due to that embolism I had 10 yrs ago, but I can see myself going up there anyway through impatience to get it done. I painted the fence. It was the worst job I've done, conifers are very supportive creatures, but the lovely orange blossom is a fecker. It's covered in prickly spikes and as I wasn't going to be thwarted, I stuck myself right in it and got it done regardless of the spikes. This morning in the shower, the pain was significant...my arms are scratched to bits. And the traditionally blonde hair has more Forest Green camouflage than Robin Hood. Along with the dark brown highlights from the day before with the woodstain. I'm trying to gear myself up to going back out. I cut the front lawn this morning, then had to take a break when the giant son found it entertaining to hose myself and the dog just for a bit of a laugh and he didn't seem bothered that I was using electricity at the time. I have to wait for that to dry out before doing the back garden, so I've come in and baked some wholemeal bread and now I'm going to change the bedcovers before putting that in the oven after it's risen. I did the ironing as well this morning. I bet you are all sitting about drinking coffee, aren't you.....
I wish. I vacuumed, did the dishes and started on supper doing the prep work. After that had to pay all of the bills and start a load of laundry. And the day is only half over. I can do these things again now that my heart rate is back to normal. Before my darling wife would not let me do anything at all, just because the doctor said so.
