Which of these three options would be best for America?

The responses are very telling, and not at all surprising. Republicans want their party to pass partisan bills, and everyone else wants a centrist government who is willing to compromise.

False they negotiated the sequester and the austerity programs with him and then held him to them and also extended tax cuts. And that is what cut the deficit by more than half. Something you won't acknowledge.

 

Options A and B are both equally terrible for the country. No one ideology should be running everything, ever.

The Republicans were pumped because they saw a path out of the political wilderness. They were convinced that even if Obama kept winning policy battles, they could win the broader messaging war simply by remaining unified and fighting him on everything. Their conference chairman, a then-obscure Indiana conservative named Mike Pence, underscored the point with a clip from Patton, showing the general rallying his troops for war against their Nazi enemy: “We’re going to kick the hell out of him all the time! We’re going to go through him like crap through a goose!”
This strategy of kicking the hell out of Obama all the time, treating him not just as a president from the opposing party but an extreme threat to the American way of life, has been a remarkable political success. It helped Republicans take back the House in 2010, the Senate in 2014, and the White House in 2016. This no-cooperation, no-apologies approach is also on the verge of delivering a conservative majority on the Supreme Court; Republicans violated all kinds of Washington norms when they refused to even pretend to consider any Obama nominee, but they paid no electoral price for it—and probably helped persuade some reluctant Republican voters to back Donald Trump in November by keeping the Court in the balance.

Before Obama even took office, when official Washington was counseling cooperation and moderation for a party that seemed to be on a path to oblivion, Cantor and McConnell laid out their strategies of all-out opposition at private GOP meetings. And on just about every issue, from Obamacare to climate to education reforms that conservatives supported until Obama embraced them, Republicans have embraced that strategy.

They didn't BOW DOWN TO HIM they NEGOTIATED and he with them and I gave you such examples and they held him to the agreements. Are you denying the sequester and austerity that cut the deficit in half?

Five days after Paul Ryan was sworn in as House speaker, the White House promised to invite him to meet President Barack Obama for a perfunctory but traditional photo opportunity. It would be a chance for the leaders to shake hands for the cameras and exchange pledges to work together.

It was nice they came to the table when they were getting exactly what they wanted, but that was not always the case. Obama proposed corporate tax cuts 3 times, and was rejected 3 times. He proposed building a wall at the border, and was rejects.

It's no secret that the GOP agreed to oppose Obama across the board.

 

He proposed cutting the corporate tax rate but making up the lost revenue by eliminating deductions and and changing tax of inventory and carried interest. He merely continued the Bush43 wall building building less than half what Bush43 had built and of course we know how the Dems stopped Trump from building more of the walling he wanted to build and how Biden just let the materials sit there and our borders be overrun.

 

I'll go with republicans because the understand a rising tide lifts all of the boats.
