Which political group do you consider yourself closest to?

and thus you probably vote Democrat. It is imperative to penalize the successful and seize from them to give to the govt. Lord knows that the govt is frugal and efficient with our money that perhaps we should give more to it.

 

I certainly do vote Democrat. During the War in Vietnam I belonged to the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee. It later evolved into Democratic Socialists of America.

I no longer believe in socialism, but I do not dislike it. I accept capitalism, but I do not like it.

Beyond a certain degree I see little moral significance in the distribution of wealth and income. Hard work, honesty, and common decency will keep one out of prison and off of welfare. They will not make one rich. Many rich people have not of those characteristics.

The rich are not better people than the rest of us. They won the IQ lottery at conception. They are the beneficiaries of good genes, good connections, and good luck.
