That's how it should work. Problem lies with most new GOP and Trump die hards, they believe this should be applied one sided and to specific groups while giving a pass to 'fellow' partisans.

Some of them didn’t threaten anyone as shown in the article. What should be done about those who falsely reported threats

secondly… why did garland and the Whitehouse lie about it if it weren’t an abuse of power? Some literally were investigated just because they didn’t like the parents not because they have a threat.

It should work like this huh? Parents that done no threat should be investigated just because of a false statement? Have you ever heard the phrase reasonable suspicion?

Yes, the police and the FBI should investigate all threats to life and liberty.

I’m completely fine with the FBI investigating. Why are you not fine?

The courts have said numerous times that police can’t just detain someone without reasonable suspicion. Detaining is defined as stopped by force. It’s not just arresting, it’s making someone stop to even answer questions. You can always refuse questioning if you’re not being detained. If you are being detained they can hold you for a certain amount of time or until they press charges. Stopping these parents to ask them questions based on a false claim is not reasonable suspicion and therefore an illegal stop/detainment.

But…. Congress passed the patriot act. (Rotten pukes), anyway, this changes the laws for those deemed terroristic threats. So these lies put someone under a different umbrella. They can hold you longer with no proof, the reasonable suspicion blanket is much more broad.

This attempt to put parents in as terrorists was very intentional so these pukes in a school board meeting could get away with false statements

Explained in my comment above. It’s not the investigation, it’s the terror name they gave them

You continue to try to reframe my posts to tie it to your position. Please don't, my posts are very specific to threats made to life and liberty.

    Wtf are "terrorism tools" ?

Electronic surveillance started with the Patriot Act and then the NSA.

    Keep playing the victim.

Embellish, sensationalize the ridiculous and hope for a leftist reaction. Never works on the intelligent and informed, but we love to watch the song and dance ;)

It’s in my OP. They accused a parent of threatening and that they had guns both of which the accuser admitted to lying.

They never actually threatened anyone as per my OP (the examples in the OP), yet they were investigated and the accuser later admitted the accused never threatened and wasn’t truly sure they had guns at all. That’s not a threat, that’s a false statement

If they lied they should be charged for filing a false report. Surely you don’t blame the fbi for someone lyin to them?

I’m aware of the definition. But just because these school board members claimed they made threats (which they later admitted was a lie) they were investigated. Same thing as doxing… are you going to defend these false statements and the clear abuse of power?

I believe they did not have reasonable suspicion. (The standard for an investigation)

Just because they get federal funds doesn't make a crime occurring a federal issue. If a child is caught with drugs do they call the FBI? Or the local police?
