Why was a President getting involved in a local matter?

 

Best to avoid reinventing the definition because people don't understand the meaning of the word.

 

Honestly it's not all Obama's fault. He was caught up in this divide he created that sometimes he'd slip up and side with one group. He was a rookie senator and a lawyer. He had no real leadership qualities to prepare him for leading a nation.

 

Since Trump isn't all pissy about Richard Russell, I'm guessing he'd sign off on a month.

 

Hardly a local matter, there were protests on national television.

 

To be fair, the divide was there and certainly needs bridging. The problem, IMHO, is that he created more wedges than bridges. Agreed about his lack of leadership skills....but he had a warm heart, could sing well and gave a helluva speech!

 

Agreed. And he had been handed everything up till that point, from his ivy league education, to his senate seat, and frankly the white house.

He was unaware and unprepared and a whole lot of people suffered because of it.

Ironically, african american child poverty hit record levels under Obama.

 

So? It was a local event. Not mass protests across the nation like during Vietnam or the Iraq War.

Are you really advocating that Trump get involved in everything that happens on the news?

Agreed. Please cite a link where the Constitution or any other official document tasks the US government with being altruistic. If you can, I'll concede to you being right and me being wrong.

 

Scalia deserved 10 days. McCain the traitor, who had to be pardoned by Nixon, did not.

 

Defending the nation against enemies foreign and domestic is altruistic. Pocketing money meant for arms isn't.

Sounds like liberals are just confused, are they supposed to kneel when its at half staff or is that a bridge too far? Pretending they care about the flag on any level is disingenuous to say the least...

 

Completely unprepared, and with a clear pattern of poor decisions his entire presidency.

His policies caused democrats to be voted out across the country (wikileaks shows dems knew this and were freaking out about it) and then when he wouldn't compromise he made himself a lame duck.

Nevermind him allowing terrorism to flourish.

Agreed. It wasn't the first time either. There have been plenty of police shootings of unarmed civilians. The police murder of Andrew Thomas at Paradise, CA was grossly wrong and clearly murder. Did Obama get involved? No. Why? Let's see: the victim was white. In the Brown and Martin case, both were black.

Feaster shot Thomas in the neck just after midnight Nov. 26, 2015, after Thomas attempted to climb out of a Toyota 4Runner that struck a median and overturned on Pearson Road in Paradise. Feaster told a commanding officer at the scene he had an accidental discharge, about 11 minutes after the commanding officer arrived.

Thomas is shot at the 1:08 mark then watch Feaster pick up his brass without checking on either victim.

Can't disagree there. The fact remains Trump was playing petting politics with a dead man. Sure, the Left is turning up the volume, but there'd be nothing to turn up if Trump hadn't been such an ass and just signed the proclamation like he's done so many times before.

It took a lot of white locals bitching about it before this guy even went to trial. He was sentenced to 6 months for murder. Not a peep out of Obama or Lynch.
