I know; weird eh? In fact the only place in which White Privilege seems to be wholly intact and operating according to leftwing stereotyping is the leftwing controlled movie and television industry. But since those two industries heavily support and fund the Dem Party, they are immune to leftwing PC scrutiny.

TL;DR version: It isn't in the laws, and I think the privilege is often mistated or overstated. But I bet you're pretty privileged all the same, and you'd do well to check it. Origional post: The privilege referred to is a blend of unofficial discrimination and to an extent history. One thing that might help is trying to decouple the historical aspect of things. Because of history, someone who is white in America is much much more likely to have been borne into a stable family with the ability to provide them with good schooling, activities, college, and maybe a little something to help them on their way. However I think this could be better addressed simply by acknowledging "affluence privilege" or something like that. But there are still some forms of discrimination in specific places. You still find sexism among older generations that provide a net benefit to males. In politics there is still a benefit to identifying as Christian. There is still a lot of discrimination against blacks and some against Hispanics. Although I don't know if that is best understood as a white privilege either unless we're counting people from China, Japan, and India as "white" now.
How can you support your belief of white privilege when northeast Asians outperform whites in the us? Perhaps the racial lag is due to genetics and/or culture?
Yeah, OK racism, sexism and bigotry are OK as long as the race being discriminated against isn't fashionable. As an egalitarean I believe discrimination is wrong regardless of race and gender. The Democratic party has always been the racist sexist hate party. Up until the Kennedy administration, the KKK were Democrats, and the Democratic party is still the racist sexist hate party, they just switched races.
I love the gym because there's no affirmative action in the gym. I had an African American woman try to tell me the gym is for women only. No lady, there's no affirmative action in the gym. You actually have to work for everything you achieve. No one's giving you anything because your race and gender is fashionable, and no ones taking anything away from me because my race and gender isn't fashionable. Nice try though...
