Keep an eye on those demographics. Thanks to the economic boom and extremely low unemployment rate up there (3% or less), it is destination numero uno for unemployed minorities in multicultural states like California. They'll bring their politics with them, of course, and the state will face the same vicious cycle that Nevada, Colorado, and other states have faced once California transplants move away.

 

The black crime rate was much lower in the Depression, when 1 out of 2 blacks were unemployed. Poverty simply isn't the excuse to run with when trying to explain black crime, especially when Hispanics have just as much poverty in their communities, and are even less likely to graduate from High School and college.

I haven't been given an answer to this question in the several times I've asked it. What does rape have to do with not having enough money?

 

Sage. However, nobody is currently complaining about a lack of diversity in all black cities. Nobody is trying to bring more whites in to increase cultural enrichment. Those areas are left alone. Only all white areas are being targeted in this way.

Do you think black women are committing a high amount of violent crime (Murder, rape, assault, robbery?). No. That cuts the percentage down to about 6-7%. Do you think really old black men are committing a high amount of violent crime? No. That shaves off another 2%. What about really young black children, age 0 to ~15? Not really. Take off another percentage or two. What we are left with is a demographic who comprises about 3% of the population - young black males in their teenage years through early 30's. That's it. That's the problematic group that we need to focus on.

Blacks are 14 times more likely to commit rape on average than whites.

Poverty is not a cause of rape.

So, in the context of blacks and crime, it is a black problem that they are raping people to that rate.

How are you so sure that poverty has nothing to do with it? I would say that poverty most certainly plays a role in people opting to become criminals, though there are clearly other factors as well. I'm not about to deny that there is a cultural problem among blacks in particular that is helping turn black youth into criminals. The more of them who choose to live that life, the more will end up following suit in the future. I expect a part of it is black racism, too, where they blame non-blacks for their problems. Idiots like Jesse Jackson are only throwing fuel on that fire, too.

So, we can all see the problem clear enough. Now what?

I should also expect that if poverty will drive up other violent crimes, it will affect rape as well. People are more likely to act out in negative ways when they're in a bad situation from which they see no escape.

 

Why do blacks commit a disproportionately high amount of rapes? Hispanics have as much poverty in their communities, yet they commit less rape, even though they are 4% larger as a minority group.

Hispanics commit more rapes than whites proportionally as well, but the historical context to explain this were white slave owners would rape black women, and during the Alamo the whites who took Mexican land in the war raped Mexican women.

FALSE! The truth is exactly the OPPOSITE. Poor Whites are NOT just poor. They are also discriminated against in affirmative action, in a number of different ways. As for poor Blacks, not only are they NOT discriminated against ***, but they are the BENEFICIARIES of the (AA) discrimination.

*** I, and some other posters, have been asking for some evidence that Blacks are, in any way being discriminated against. So far, no one has come foward with a shred of evidence. Until they do, I will continue to believe that there is no discrimination against Blacks, now in 2013, and I know of none in the past 50 years, since AA began.

 

Giving them jobs, promotions, college admissions, college watered-down courses to fit their lower intellects, college assistantships, other forms of educational assistance, by virtue of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, and most notably, let us not forget, all AT THE EXPENSE OF WHITES, who have been discriminated against, and denied the opportunities given specially to the Blacks. Blacks have also been allowed to commit crimes without being arrested (when Whites have been arrested for the same crimes). Best example that immediately comes to mind is Trayvon Martin, and his covered up vandalism and stolen jewelry crimes.
