You misunderstood my post. I'm sorry, but you're simply not correct.

 

America stopped being a republic in 1920 when we stopped denying the vote to the majority of the population. We are a Constitutional Representative Democracy, which is in my opinion the only moral form of government besides Direct Democracy.

And no, regionalism is not something I support. I support limited government all around. Simply creating big government on a more local scale is just as bad if not worse than having a big federal government. I would no more support a state violating individual rights then I would the Feds.

It's based on the moral stance that unless someone is causing objective harm to another individual or their property, then the government has no right to interfere with them.

I tend to disagree. I think that most folks in this country are not racist, and the reasoning that they are not is they realize it is a moral and intellectual failure. So while you call it "weak and lazily conceived" I smugly smirk realizing I am correct on this one.

In my opinion, your stereotypical reasoning is weak and lazily conceived, especially considering it has been refuted several times already. Whether your conclusion is correct or not is debatable. Certainly you've presented no evidence to support your claims (per usual), or dealt with the issue that many people are not open about their views on race, due to the societal stigma in place from the temporary progressive lock that is on the country. For most of the country's history, a spade was called a spade. Hopefully that will be the case again.
