Western Europeans visit America for a holiday , but apart from Florida sun , would never consider living in such a gross society which lacks sensibility, taste and style . We are used to a quality culture , which is a concept that has never really caught on with you .Your films sum it all up .
With the Pakistanis ( don't ask me why) Americans are always the butt of our humour which invariably questions whether there really are people that simple .

Lots of Brits come to California as well as Florida. Whenever I encounter them I spit on their shoes and tell them what I think of them.

 

They pour my coffee for now, while they get their new life in order. I respect them, since they had the sense to leave the sinking ship for the US, Canada, and Australia.

I'm in no position to "look for a solution", not being a professional in the justice or youth offenders field, though if I could think of something where such people have failed I would be sure to let the relevant authority know! In the meantime, keeping a criminal locked up is an exceptionally successful way of ensuring the rest of us can go about our business in peace. I assure you that I am in no way looking for a way to sweep anything under the carpet, so please don't think you know what I'm looking for.

Please hazard an honest guess. And consider if you will, the case of Stephen Lawrence which has been decreed a racist murder on much less evidence than this recent case was adjudged to be not racially motivated.

I agree, the aspects of this case were a factor in the way it has been reported, but attacks where there is a suspicion of white attacks on blacks or asians seem to me to be much more likely to be reported. And having limited space does not stop them giving inordinate amounts of that space to fluff stories like anything related to the X Factor. Even the Telegraph's been at it with space for stories about Downton Abbey! I suppose people like to read a variety of "news".

You know, only Muslims and non-Whites are worthy to be called Human Beings in the European Socialist Politically Correct Madness. In Germany for example 80 % of all Muslims are unemployment, receive everything from authorities new Mosques included and as "thank" they commit 70 % of all hard crimes, murders, rapes etc. Only very few of those go to prisons, most go free on parole.

That's not the point. The issue is the word because (regardless of exactly what the actual reason is). The newspaper reports state the sentence was given after the court heard mitigation from the defence about them not being used to alcohol. It doesn't actually say that mitigation played any role in the judges decision. If it had done, it would have been in the judges written statement and they could have quoted it directly. The fact they didn't, along with the apparent use of the common tabloid trick of saying "after" to falsely imply "because" makes me suspect it wasn't a major factor in the sentencing.

I could be wrong but if people are going to condemn the judge on that basis, even demanding he looses his job over it, I think they have responsibility to work on the basis of the facts rather than rely on a tabloid story.

If it had been non-Muslim white girls (white girls can be Muslim), I doubt a "not used to alcohol" mitigation would have been mentioned in the report, even if it were true. I personally couldn't care less about the race or religion of the people involved though. My issue is with our criminal tabloid media and the people who blindly believe it.
