If that was taken before his punched her, by the time HE rushed HER to punch her, she was disarmed. She had no bottle. So the first attack apparently disarmed her. Threat over. Job done. Then he came back at her anyway to punch her when she was no longer a threat. You're pathetic!

Indeed it is not irrelevant. The individual in question was brandishing a weapon in a threatening manner. That is not a legal activity at what is supposed to be a peaceful protest.

Why did she not leave the scene after being assaulted once already? Why did she remain, once she knew what she would be encountering?

 

The legal right to protest only protects peaceful protests. Under no circumstances is one allowed to bring weapons for the purpose of assaulting others.
