    For me,
either Penny Wong or Tanya Plibersek.
    Shorten has to go....
    Liberals/Nationals have to go anyway!!!
    Any thoughts?
    Regards

This is a great question. I'm going to do some research and get back here with a response!

I think Elbow will no doubt be labors next leader if Shorten fails dismally in polls or simply loses next election. Will Albo make a good PM? I think he would make an awesome PM! Someone for the future would be Ex Husic.
I don't think Wong would appeal to a majority of voters but certainly think Plibersek has the experience manner and respect to at least get over the line. Would she make a great PM? Damm straight! She's not afraid to go toe to toe but she certainly has a sensitivity factor about her but would make the big decisions.

Ed Husic has a fantastic manner and temperament and would certainly see him as a successful PM. May need to show he is happy to get in a scrap though!

In all honesty I can't think of anyone for the Liberals who I think would make a great PM. They all seem too highly strung!

Albo or Tanya. I don't mind Penny Wong, but not sure she's moderate enough for leadership. She would alienate a lot of older left voters, also. What with being a GIRL (sort of), an ASIAN, and a LESBIAN .... ewwwww germs.

Penny unfortunately would never be accepted not by the party but by the average Bogun who seems to be the one the press at least listen to and poll

Albo/Husic I know too little about, will pay more attention.
I agree with Penny for the part of her lived sexuality, 2000 years of Christianity haven't brought us an awful lot further.....
Cheers for your thoughts, enjoy your Sunday...

    You too

Unfortunately it is Shorten who has the credentials. But intelligence and comittment are not enough it needs someone able to, in Joh's words able to "feed the chooks"

Ed Husic is the Muslim MP for Chifley. Very softly spoken guy. Be very interesting if he were PM.

Seems like you and Penny forgot to mention the 1.6 billion Muslims; 488 million Buddhists and 1.08 billion Hindu's in the world. I didn't realise that Christianity was the only religion on the planet?

Great credentials for Penny to become the next Australian PM; blame the white mans religion for everything, and forget your own

I agree we need more diversity in our parliament

There are some very good players out there who are not White Anglo-Saxon Protestant male. WASP men have had waaaay too much influence in our politics

They all seem to proclaim some sort of Christian denomination. How about a male in the ilk of Julia Gillard who proclaims no ties with religion? In fact was there ever a PM who openly stated they were atheist? Was Keating a Christian?

Like the old joke about "What is the difference between an Orthopaedic surgeon and God?"

God will not tell you he is an Orthpaedic surgeon

Sure everyone is entitled for an opinion, but I fear those are the posts which keep others away (from our Aussie section).
If we cannot question our own values, we shouldn't question the values of others.....

Some of you would make the Spanish Inquisitions proud.

If you don't like what someone has to say, then run to mummy and get them deleted. What very sad people you are. :blankstare:

I just don't think he understands this. A bad and inappropriate post is a bad and inappropriate post, no one has to tell the moderators :roflol: If you haven't noticed M2 he uses that little tactic every time. Funny thing is nobody probably tells moderators, they just discover them on their routine checks. I'm surprised he hasn't been banned yet to be honest!

Take it from me there are no routine checks. I used to moderate boards. The secret of a successful board is to allow enough freedom so as not to stifle vigorous debate whilst still stopping trolls and flame Baiters

If you have never seen it this site is a hoot
    http://www.flamewarriorsguide.com

It is an alphabetical list of all the troops and personalities you will meet on a board like this

I am betting there are more than a few who are familiar and I love playing the game of "How would my opponents classify me?"

Dream PMs maybe Geoff Robertson, Gail Kelly, Dick Smith or David Morrisey. PM Dick just sounds right.

Out of the politicians decent picks would be: Plibersek, Wong, Porter, Taylor, O'Dwyer and maybe Lay. But really as far as credentials go doesn't get much better than Turnbull, he just has too many idiots in his party. Clare O'Neil is one for the future, but might have started politics too early and might end up going slightly insane like Pyne.
